I had no lessons and basically threw myself into snowboarding, watched other people copying what they did, just learning as I went along............. I wish I'd had lessons like this.
  • I watched one snowboarding video about 2 hours ago, and now I'm going down a rabbit hole of videos and really getting motivated to learn!

lesson #1, meet with snowboard lesson #2, lets start carving at 70kmh

I can honestly tell anyone watching that I learned snowboarding this season by watching this series, all six parts, without a coach. It was probably the most fun I ever had on the slopes and now I can confidently call myself an intermediate snowboarder. I can now carve well, do ollies, and consistently complete terrain parks without wiping out. For anyone out there hesitating to try out this sport, I ask to you to give it a try. Yes, your first time is going to be rough. Your ass will hurt. But it'll be worth it in the end. Lots of thanks to Snowboard Addiction for helping me out

Ok this was possibly the best snowboard tutorial on YouTube

I’ve been snowboarding for 32 years. Started in 1992 back when we were hated on the slopes by SOME not all snooty skiers. It motivated me to learn. I’m almost 64 now and still going strong!. I LOVE this sport, been All over western USA and British Columbia. I can’t tell all of you beginners how snowboarding change me!. I’m a multi sport athlete and adding snowboarding to my repertoire was one the best things in my life!. One advice I give to newbies is NEVER GIVE UP! Once you make 2 turns in a row without falling on your ass, you will be STOKED!!!! Happy Shredding board heads!!!

These videos are so good because he’s teaching someone who hasn’t snowboarded before, the instructors make it look so easy, and the guy he’s teaching makes common mistakes so it’s easy to learn from him. Thank you,
  • @NickMK
15:41 this part made me feel tons of nostalgia, learning this when I was a teenager. We called this type of decent "falling leaves" and it was so satisfying to do for the first time

This is the best snowboard lesson channel on YouTube, bar none.
  • @lxisfx9810
Actually thanks a lot for those videos. I now ride for 6 years and I'm going to teach a friend how to ride. These videos are also very good for learning to teach the right technique.

Took me nearly two full weeks before I could link a turn. 15 years later, I am teaching some of my friends how to snowboard. Being a slow learner has helped me to teach others how to pick up this sport. This is a great video. Keep up the good effort boys!

Im 35 years old and have always been thinking snowboarding looked so much fun and cool! About two weeks ago, my sister invited me to go to a cabin with her and her family to spend some time with them. They rented me a snowboard (i've never ever been riding one, but i've been into skateboarding when i was younger, quit when i was about 17) and it was the most fun i've had in years. Took me just a few hours to get it down. I was there for two days and i learned alot by myself and i love it! Im about to buy myself a board and start having fun in the winter! The best part is, in a month, im going back there and will be riding the snowboard again! :D

This is exactly what I want in someone teaching me. No nonsense, no molly coddling or anything. Noticing every little thing I do and explain why I shouldn't/ should do it and what happens when I do / don't. Brilliant!
  • @rookies10001
My first day was me renting a snowboard, figured out how to straps in one foot myself, survived getting on and off the lift on bunny hills, took monumental effort to stand upright for a few seconds without falling, then stumbling downhill on the board destroying my butt, back, wrists and forearms along the way thinking “just go for it”. I finished the day with several ibuprofens. I wish my first day was like this video...
  • @mrt2u905
Coming from a longtime skier, makes me want to try snowboarding. Props to the videographer as well.
  • @TimothiusMartin
I can’t believe I’m watching this for free. Thank you for the lesson! 🤩
  • @Nvrsnagn
just had my first day of snowboarding and i too skate on the daily. i found breaking and carving easier but being able to keep a good speed was hard. please guys be careful. you’ll fall about 25 times to realize that it doesn’t hurt too much but you could easily be in big trouble. also having good supportive friends helps a lot
  • @ricewychrij
Tim picked it up great. I learned with a surfer and she was the same. Transferable skills!
