I'm from Poland, and 'Allo 'Allo was huge here back in the day. I remember watching the show as a kid and having a huge crush on Maria and Yvette. I get so nostalgic immediately when I hear the theme song, it reminds me of simpler times
  • A Masterpiece of British comedy. The humor still holds the test of time.
    AMAZING.
  • This television show was really just about one man on the verge of having the slowest nervous breakdown over the course of television history.
  • This show is legendary in Poland! All people growing up in 90s know it. Great comedy! I watched all seasons several times. Thank you, Britain, for it!

'Allo 'Allo is absolutely brilliant. What I find most remarkable about it is that it pulls off the endlessly recurring themes of sleaze and innuendo, which remain predictable at all times, with impressive class and innocent hilarity. That's because it creates a world, or a universe, where this absurdity authentically belongs. That and its use of accents to signify different languages, and the ludicrous antics, it's simple but brilliant.

One of the only comedies ever written where you know exactly what's coming, yet it's still absolutely hilarious.

The best part is Officer Crabtree. His 'Good Moaning' is legendary. To have everyone speaking English but the French not understanding the English and vice versa was a brilliant twist.
  • In these bad times I am watching an episode every day to cheer me up. Pity no one dare make comedy like this anymore.

One of my favorite shows, of all time. I discovered this show, when I was in my late teens, I'm almost 50, now, and it still cracks me up. The running gags, the innuendo, and double entendre, was impeccable. It's sad, that most of the cast, has passed on.
  • Here in Portugal, it was one of greatest sitcoms ever showed. I'm 42 and everyone from my age, well remember all the great bits of the show. The sceane of Rene's funeral where he complain of the lack of people, and Edith justify for the fact Nouvion Rangers were playing away, always crak me up.
  • @muff-puff.
Gruber : " I hear you are from Nancy "
Renee : " that is right, Herr Lieutenant , my brother and I are both Nancy boys " 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤💕💞💗
  • Was never my cup of tea to be honest, but my Dad would laugh his head off at this, so I'm watching it in his honour! Hope Allo allo is on the telly in heaven.
  • My little ten year french self sat in Hong Kong somehow found this show and fell in love. Vive la résistance. Les carottes sont cuites.
  • My favorite sitcom when I was a child.
Was a success here in Portugal.
  • I am French and I love Allô Allô series. The English perceptions of French people are so comic and all the objects in the setting, particularly in the café, are so authentic !
  • My grandmother loved it, my parents and now me. I've seen it a few times, first time when I was like 12, now I'm 28 and it just never stops being funny. One of the best comedy EVER.
