We've debated this for a while on the podcast and now Frankie is going to put it to the test. Will playing from the forward tees drastically improve his score? We are at his home course Colonial Springs on Long Island, playing from 1,200 yards shorter than he normally does. What do we think he shoots?

Frankie is hitting the ball very well but if I needed someone to MISS a 3 footer to save my life I'm calling him.

Your game has improved so much over the last few years. Great work.

Riggs gets hate even on a non-Riggs video. So funny!
  • @Rathbun16
Riggs breaking 80 from the Reds next please!

Quality video 👏 👏 From the camera angles, the hole, par, yardage intro’s, the round score, the small Taylormade logo; just great quality. Love seeing someone enjoy a round, verbalizing their intent, emotions, and joy when they flush it. “That’s what we’ve been waiting for!” Would love this style of video from each fore play member - different player every week or so. 🤙🏼 Great job. Edit was awesome; perfect length, perfect pace, nailed it 👌🏼

Riggs would’ve shot 59 if he was by himself on the course.

definitely a lesson here for all golfers about playing tees that fit their handicap. Bryson has talked about how his coach made him play from the forward tees to get comfortable making lots of birdies and eagles. It probably would help most golfers think their way around the course a lot better. Someone like Trent should try this, I think his course management would improve immensely.
  • YES 1000% you can Break Par from 5300 yards! I WAS one of your harshest critics BUT your overall game IMO has improved significantly over the last year. Your chipping/wedge game is solid. Can you make a few putts? That's the question

Keep the series going. Do 1 or 2 more chances from the forward tees and then graduate to the senior tees, and so on
  • @AndrewClayLong
Just like we see in Trent's videos... no matter what scoring barrier you're trying to break it's almost always going to be the short game that holds you back

Definitely do this challenge again. Might be interesting to try a safe vs. aggressive approach

What is up with the greens? Those look awful, ball rolled brutal too

The difference between this Frankie and the Frankie I first saw playing with Kisner where Frankie offers the classic first tee comment: "I'd give a thousand dollars not to have to hit this tee shot right now." is insane. He then proceeded, in that video, to card a 9 on the first hole. Amazing to see this level of shot making and consistency.

Frankie has been deserving of his own videos. Glad to finally see it.

You did a great job at not getting too frustrated with missing birdie putts. I've seen too many people let those misses be the only thing they focus on and it ends up wrecking their round. Very enjoyable video and I hope you try again soon.
  • The stark difference in attitude can performance between 12 and 13 was one of the most obvious examples I’ve ever seen that mentality and confidence are the most important thing
  • Beautiful course. Definitely should be an eye opener to where you're losing strokes. Also interesting to see you under-read the majority of the putts you missed.
  • Good stuff Frankie! Playing different tees is something that all golfers should be doing.. definitely if you play the same course over and over... as you found out it changes the way your play... cheers!
