225 slant six was a great motor, couldn't kill it as long as you put a quart of oil in with every fill-up after 60/70 thousand miles.

Reminds me of the movie Duel. I can imagine that this car is being chased by a souped up diesel semi truck

The slant six was a great engine, just needed a valve lash adjustment now and then.

Brought back a lot of memories from my teenage years in the 80's. Had a friend with a slant 6 duster, one with a slant 6 Nova, and one with a slant 6 Javelin. All were reliable transportation, but they certainly were not fast...
  • Pulls pretty good in neutral. lol Long live the slant 6! I need to get mine back on the road.

    Probably had a 276 rear? Those weren't known for their 0 to 60 times, BUT 60 to 100 felt like a 318!
  • @timkis64
thats acceptable in todays world.enough to blend in from a merge ramp.
  • mine was a lot throatier than that. 318 dual ex 4 sp drop a 318 in it.
