The lymph nodes of the body are very important to us and can be very important clinically. There are quite a few lymph nodes in the neck, and they're described as anatomical groups. Let's look at these and the direction lymph flows down the neck.

I’ve had a cancerous lymph node in my neck. It was taken out by surgery together with the whole string of lymph nodes on that side of my neck. Needles to say it took some time to recover. But recover I did, even after refusal of Radiation Therapy. This was 16 years ago. I haven’t smoked since. No desire.

As a teacher of Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture you have, at last, perfectly explained why my techniques are working so well. I held a cadaver day back in 2014 with head of anatomy, plastic surgeon and fascia expert and they could not anwer - THANK YOU!
  • thank you for this, Doc! I inherited lymphedema 18 years ago from my cancer "invading the lymphatic space" and my life was probably saved by my MSKCC surgeon who palpated a supra clavicular "node", causing me to respond "ouch!" your video and lecture demonstrated so much about the system that I now understand it much better ... as I do my manual lymph drainage LOL! keep that colored PlayDough coming! and thanks again! PS: my mom used to diagnose us as having "swollen glands", too!

Thank you sir, what a brilliant display of the lymph system
  • Dr Sam, I found your explanations and demonstration very intresting, attention highly governing, with clear and easily perceivable demonstrations and optimal explanation. I wish I had your class when I was a public health student in 1967-68.

I feel that this is the best way to understand and learn anatomy and physiology. This is how I learned it in college. The way you make your presentations with the models here is superb Dr. Sam. It is neat and precise. Books will show it one way, but with models it becomes " live " and much more interesting. Thank you for these great presentations.
