  • You built a house. On a cliff. In a state known for erosion and earthquakes. Genius. Pure genius.
  • @McLKeith
Am I supposed to feel sorry for millionaires who didn't bother to get civil engineers to evaluate the stability of the cliff?
  • @S-sp2fe
It's called erosion. Rain does it. That's why you stay away from cliffs. Not live on them. It's not only geology 101, it's common sense 101.
  • IMO - If California is so concerned about the environment why allow houses to perched on the edge of a cliff? That is so unintelligent.
  • @markstevens1729
Gotta appreciate stories that definitely prove that wealth and intelligence are in no way connected.

“The foundations are deeply rooted”—— in nothing solid. Brilliant. That always works.
  • @FWtravels
Let’s all shed a tear for these millionaires and their mansions 😢
  • @mrjohnfiles
Who would ever think that building on the edge of a cliff could be a problem. Unforeseen circumstance.
  • Why is it the city's responsibility? Private property you chose to by.
  • @VioletWings1353
It's unrealistic to build homes on thw edges of cliffs in a state known for massive mudslides and not thinking it could happen to you.
  • Climate change? How many centuries have those cliffs been eroding?
  • @jennygirl8849
If you're going live life, literally on the edge, ya get whatcha get.
  • @JohnSmith-nj4zq
These houses are like toys to those rich people. If one toy gets destroyed, they have plenty of others ones they can move to.
  • @sjohnson7879
Why would any person in their right mind build or buy a home on a cliff!!!!! I dont get it
  • @dorisr2832
If those houses slide into the ocean, so much for protecting the ocean life from all the garbage that will result. Seems environmentalists should have protested the building of houses on cliffs in the first place!
  • @berniecasey7592
With a state with earthquakes why would you buy or build on a cliff??
  • @freeheeler09
When I was in Alaska, a person built a beautiful home on the beautiful cut bank of a beautiful river. And spring high water washed the home away.

THIS IS THE WORST CASE OF YOU JUST CAN'T FIX STUPID. INSURANCE COMPANIES SHOULDN'T PAY FOR THIS.
  • @__-pl3jg
I cant believe they said it probably wont happen again 😅😂. There is a 100% probability it will happen again.
