  • I did want to tell you and your audience that my Model Y saved my life and an elderly couples life the other day. I was backing up on a one way street and a couple was behind me and i didn’t see them at all and I was on the accelerator and the car totally slammed on the brakes and stopped on a dime for these people. Saved them and me for a double vehicular homicide! I’m so grateful
  • Wow! 47 minute drive to gym 🤪👈 thats crazzier than a one legged swamp chicken!
  • @gfbrnby
Thanks for another great video. Today driving with FSD 12.3.6 the car slowed from 50 kph to 20 kph for no apparent reason. Then I realized there was a police cruiser with lights flashing blocking the side road I was about to pass. Once we passed it the car sped up to 50 kph again. It seemed as though FSD recognized and reacted to the cop car. I was totally surprised.

I prefer the full videos with fast forward when necessary. Also, I trust you when you say you’re not touching the wheel. You pick the camera angle that you like.
  • Hey Chris! Keep the videos coming. Don't worry about the haters. As someone who watched your videos before I got my first Tesla, to see what it was like, I can confidently say that you're one of the most fair and balanced creators. At least, my experience has been predictable from what I've gotten from you. CT is awesome. Don't let the haters get you down!

More of these videos please!! I love watching these Tesla self driving videos😆
  • Today I had the car automatically wash the windshield for the first time... yes it was full of bugs.

5:09 depending on circumstances if I’m driving over the speed limit and a car starts tailgating me, I usually slow down to the speed limit. If we come to a place in the road where it is safe, I’ll pull over and let them go ahead. I don’t continue blasting down the road with a car on my butt that I know cannot stop as quickly as I may need to.

Dude! Here in California, we have those 'speed' Ends signs. I, as a human, have always hated those signs. How dumb is it to put up 2 signs instead of just putting the one actual speed limit sign?
  • @AngusHutton
13:34 in new Zealand this is what everyone does and is considered correct since they changed all the passing lanes to "slow bays" so you change into them even if no one is wanting to pass.
  • @TesIaCH
man, this camera view is perfect!
  • Funny thing is all these vids you’ve made from version to version has only been a year or two since it’s been real good to really frivkin good. So in another year it’s gonna be insane!

We've been on the road for 14 days now, in a Model Y with FSD 12.3.6. Drove more than 5000 miles so far, through maybe 20 states, possibly more. Everything is good, except for the following, in no particular order: - Car no longer reads speed limit signs reliably and that surprised me. It seems to be the case especially when the speed limit is 'high' for that type of road. For example, you drive on a 2-lane road and speed limit changes from 55 mph to 65 mph, car continues to show 55 mph as the speed limit. This happened very often and it can be quite annoying. It seems to always read the new speed limit when the new limit is lower so maybe FSD is coded not to trust higher speed limits? We've never experienced speed limit read errors in our state of residence - Florida. - The windshield wiper is extremely unreliable when set to auto. It often activates itself while driving in sunny weather and it often takes its time before turning itself on in rain. Practically every time after manually turning it on with washer fluid it 'detects' bad weather and announces that FSD is now degraded because of poor weather, sometimes lowering car's speed. Windshield wiper's behavior can be quite frustrating. - Car dreams of speed restrictions. Speed limit is 55 mph and, for no reason, car shows 5 mph as the speed limit and begins to slow down. - Car gets off the road. We noticed this on Minnesota's highways that come with many 'off' lanes that allow you to get off the highway by making 'normal' left or right turns on roads that cross the highway. Instead of keeping going straight, car enters the turn lanes. It happened very often as in maybe 2 dozen times over 2-300 miles. - At one time, I believe after the car downloaded new maps, car spontaneously rebooted. After that, trip planning became somewhat surreal. Car seemed to assume that the official range was its actual range and it planned supercharger stops as if the car was capable to drive 300+ miles between charges even though our Model Y with an official 'make believe' 310 mile range needs to stop for charging after 175-190 miles at the most. Rebooting the car made it come back to its senses. - While the car was in the state described above, I observed it changing lanes without signaling at least twice. - In one instance, while driving in a construction zone, the car acted as if it was trying to cross the yellow line several times. Actually signaling its intention to cross it (scary) but never actually doing it. - In 2 instances the car routed us through unpaved (dirt) roads and in one of the 2 instances it was very scary because, while on FSD, car kept trying to more at 55 mph on a road that resembled the surface of the Moon. I wish there was an option for always avoiding unpaved roads. - On surface roads, getting the car to move at the desired speed when safe - I prefer 10 miles over the posted limit - seems to be a never-ending struggle. - In a few instances, and a lot fewer than in the past, car would move one lane to the right less than half a mile before a left turn. Other than that, all is good. Only my wife, because of the above, no longer trusts FSD and will not engage it while she is the driver. And I totally love FSD :). At this point, I can't imagine myself driving a car without it. And it's getting better, constantly. Yes, it's often 2 steps forward, one step back but, if you do the math, that translates to 'one step forward' and that's not bad at all.

Very nice. You are really good at narrating as you drive which I’m sure is very hard.
  • @LoriLynnYT
I love this route, used to take it from my job in AA to my home in Northville, when M-14 was slow or I just wanted a "green" ride home. I spied some new roundabouts!! (Ie, new since i retired in 2018) Also went this way to get out of AA a bit quicker on Friday night trips to Up North. (Sutton to Territorial to 23) Hubby asks me to let you know we passed some "40mph MINIMUM" signs in Georgia this week (traveling Fenton MI to Clearwater FL) and FSD interpreted them as the speed LIMIT.

Love your videos, I will keep living vicariously through you hoping one day that this will be released in my country! By the way what does a flashing yellow light mean in America? In my country it means the traffic lights are malfunctioning? 😂
