All the crazy outfits that Chappall Roan wears is actually inspired by drag! She refers to her stage name as her drag persona, and has local drag performers open for her at all of her concerts!

The Sabrina belt was definitely a stylistic choice! She hasn’t been doing bolder belts recently, however if you were to listen to some of her older stuff there’s a few times where she shows she can indeed belt powerfully!

The thing with “Good Luck, Babe!” is it’s about a lesbian relationship where one woman is comfortable with her sexuality but the other is still in denial and continues to pretend that she likes men and that the comfortable woman portrayed by Chappel Roan is kinda just a fling for her. But then that intense change where there’s the line “You’re nothing more than his wife” is supposed to represent the woman in denial giving up the life she wanted with the other woman to live a more “normal” straight life then when Chappel sings “I told you so.” It’s the comfortable woman telling the woman in denial that she told her pretending to be someone she isn’t would never make her happy and she could’ve realized that all along if she didn’t run away from her true feelings.

Chappel Roan has just recently had a big surge in popularity, over the past few months. Her debut Album released last year, but hasn’t claimed to much success until now. She’s amazing and I’m glad that she is getting the recognition she deserves.

I LOVE CHAPPELL! You will too, and if I'm not mistaken, I think she was going for a "Swan Lake" vibe with this performance. She wore a "black swan" outfit for the interview immediately before this. And YES, she writes her music.

I understand it when people say Sabrina's belt is not as powerful at the end, but then again her version of the song is different than the original and, in my opinion, does not require that type of belt. Sabrina is totally capable of doing a big belt (for eg, "Sue Me", "Shadows", "Smoke and Fire", etc.) She just has not been doing that sound stylistically for a while now. Earlier she used to go for a darker sound(til around 2020) but now goes for a light and airy sound(generally). Love both versions of the song though. Two Pop Princesses!!!

“Brining back the art to music” is the perfect summation for how everyone feels about Chappell ❤❤❤

omg you’d enjoy chappell’s album, her range in that was incredible, showcases she can sing any genre, from silly fun to serious songs about queer experiences, she sounds diff. in every track, like a fusion of every artists we love. Cant wait for your Midwest Princess album reaction!

Actually I think Sabrina has a powerful belt but the vibe of the cover was different, she opened for Taylor here in Brazil and sang a slow version of Dancing Queen, it was soooo beautiful belting on her knees!! Also Chappell is amazing, came up with this song and everyone turned their eyes to her, bc her album its actually from 2023, with all the singles already released, so this is her first single this year and no album yet to put it in! But her album is amazing, definitely go listen and watch her videos, shes very cool!!
