In 1998 I bought my first house in York. It just so happened to be sold to me by one of the people who witnessed the Roman legion marching through the basement of the Treasurer's House. A very famous ghost story and the person who told me about it was very reluctant because he rarely told anyone. It was only because his wife knew of my interest in the paranormal. Contrary to popular belief there were 3 people in the basement who saw the soldiers that day but only one of them made it into a well known story. The other two were too scared to mention it at first, even to themselves!

Richard Felix is brilliant! Probably the only one I liked in most haunted.

I am absolutely loving these video's. Somehow their age makes them uniquely atmospheric. I am from Yorkshire myself and can confirm it is still 1985 there, all the time. (Kidding obviously.)

Great documentary! I didn't realise my native Yorkshire was such a hotbed of paranormal activity!😨😱

This is awesome! Thank you for sharing! I’m a American but my father was born in England and I have been fortunate enough to visit a few times as a small child…… I would love to go back again and see these sites too!

When I visited Yorkshire, I went to see a Roman wall. I heard and saw Romans also. It was weird; there were a lot of sheep grazing near by.

I agree with him. No one truly understands how; but, I'm convinced that the stones around us can absorb our electrical energy. Jesus said, "If man fails to praise God, even the rocks will cry out". That one sentenced has fascinated me for decades. Somehow, some way, the very rocks and stones are absorbing our electrical energy.

In two of my visits to Marston Moor, I heard loud, deep booming sounds which I thought must be coming from the nearby industrial estate. On mentioning it to my husband, I discovered that he hadn’t heard any such sounds. I then realised that it must have been the sounds of cannon fire.
  • Thank you Richard. I've always loved these. You came to Pendle Hill - my home - and did a good video from there. Hope you're well and I look forward to watching the rest of your generous posts 🙏.

I lived in York city centre for 10 years in a 15th century cottage down a Snickleway. One Christmas my friend who worked for the Medical Society invited me on their Christmas outing ,which was a Ghost Walk hosted by Harry Martindale. It was a real treat. The frosty ,slighty foggy evening added to the atmosphere and we were told so many tales and historical facts. A treasured memory, and Yes,my cottage was haunted.
