Let’s Talk About Tacoma Mods: What I’ve Done, What I Like, And What I Might Change.

Published 2023-03-31
This is probably the longest video I have made but, once again, the video pretty much says it all.
*If you have a specific questions, use the chapter sliders on the bottom to help find what you’re looking for.
**The chapter “Reroutes” doesn’t cover the exhaust reroute. This exhaust info can be found within the “Skids and Armor” chapter.
***During the "Skids and Armor" section I mistakenly state "engine skid" while looking at the fuel skid and I of course meant to say "fuel skid".

Please feel free to message me with any questions.

  • Thanks for being incredibly thorough in your videos. Your setup looks amazing and is making me want to switch back from 285s to 265s.

I noticed the '24 tacoma did away with lids for the rear storage under the seats. Like the third cab rail and tool holders, the front bumper. Lots of mods.
  • @edfig
Amazing setup! Love everything you have done to it. Great job 👍

Hey Stephen, great vid again..your knowledge on the mod areas is super good..anybody off roading seriously can definitely learn a thing or two. Look forward to next one.
  • Your videos great, thanks for being thorough! This video helped me out a lot, now I know things I need/want! 🤙
  • Great video, just picked up a 22 , same color, this is exactly what I want in my build, nothing crazy, thanks for your insight 👍

Nice set up, just got started on mine. 🐊

Great video and Taco! just bought a 23’ ORTRD. your mods are clean and not crazy- it gives me an idea what I’m looking for in my Taco. City/Mountain hybrid look since Lake Tahoe area is 1.5hr from my spot. Thanks again and keep sharing great content 👏🏽👏🏽⛰️🛻💨💨
  • Love the build. My first mods were an OME bp-51 lift set to 5mm preload with stage 1 icon leafs and timbren ubolt flip active bumpstops, sits just a tad over 2". Trd 4runner wheels with toyo open country AT3s 255 75r17. Next I'll be adding an aluminum bumper/sliders from greenlane and a trd skid. Maybe some ditch lights and molle seat panels. Keep it light low and simple.
  • @RDEnduro
The sliders are great, I like that they bolt on and look cool imo
  • You dropped so much important knowledge ! Thank you . I think your truck is amazing. I have a 2021 sr5; that I threw a 2 inch level kit on, and 30's, and the carven catback exhaust for now. I believe this summer I am going to slap on a 6' RC lift and 33s ( avoiding 35s because that is where I heard most people have to chop the body.).. also hoping to change the ugly stock halogen headlights to any type of LED headlights, K&N intake, and maybe just maybe the hybrid front bumper... still have a lot to put into this build LOL

Awesome video man, I’m most likely getting a Tacoma at the end of the year and a few of these mods are on my list
  • @yanninemo
Thanks for the video. I have a silver ‘22 TRD Sport as well and in the process of blacking out similar to yours. Love the bumpers and good to know you can still use the sensors on the rear bumper. Your truck looks great. I would add the black door handle covers to give it that extra black out.
  • Nice. I landed on those wheels for my MGM Sport, but ultimately went with the RR7-H (wildpeak 265 70 17). With the truck now up a bit on 6112's & 5260's, it really does look incredible. Hybrid front bumper is
