If anyone has anything negative to say about JT, your are obviously just a casual and don't really understand the sport of box nor do you understand that it is a brutal combat sport and you will come out at the end of it with the battle scars, its apart of the profession and every boxer/fighter understand this and people watching as real boxer fans understand that as well. I got nothing but respect for James Toney, he is my all time favourite boxer and I'm glad he has made it to the hall of fame, he is a LEGEND.

James Lights Out Toney was one of great pound for pound fighters and one of my favorites. His win against Vasily Jirov was a great win for him 👏. God bless him and his family.

Didn’t like Toney early on because I was a Roy fan, but man he grew on me. What skill this man had. Became one of my favs as he went up in weight classes. The Vasily Jirov fight was my fav. “I told yall all day, what he brought to the table wasn’t going to be enough!” 💯

James Toney has turned the lights off on many of boxers, but he has never had his own lights turned off. So I guess James Toney always pays the light bills by being skilled, and having a chin.

You have to like James Toney...he is very likable.

Absolute legend. He liked to eat and that pushed him up through the divisions where he still won titles. What middleweight moved to heavyweight and took the best shots from guys like Sam Peter and and aging but still dangerous Holyfield? Nobody.
