A major global tech service outage causes impacts from air travel to emergency response systems in hospitals across the country.

CrowdStrike -- an American cybersecurity technology firm that provides cloud workload protection, threat intelligence and cyberattack response services -- said the outage is not a due to a cyber attack; it was caused by a software issue that has been identified and a fix had been deployed. abcnews.go.com/US/american-airlines-issues-global-…

Blame the lack of diversity for security. And it was a rookie mistake pushing a update with out testing it, shame. These people call them selves IT.

Oh the Irony! Cloudstrike was supposed to stop this from happening through malicious actions and yet they seem to have caused it. Here in Australia many hospitals and radiology services were taken offline. Radiology in some hospitals was taken offline, fortunately doctors in my wife's one could still see the images and were able to call clinicians with results. But these computers were using Cloudstrike because the can't afford to go down, it is a matter of life and death! This appears to have been a failed update of Cloudstrike (not Microsoft) most major companies do staged updates (even on critical updates) to make sure they are not causing Blue Screens Of Death (BSOD). This is a major screwup by Cloudstrike no matter how you look at it. While many good employees at CS are working on this it is important to note that someone seriously stuffed up here. Regardless of who is blamed for this updated must ALWAYS be staged. With systems in place to detect problems. What the heck happened! We are owed an honest answer!

Secretary Pete just keeps having problems. Is he really qualified for the position ? When THE BOSS is incompetent everything falls apart.

  • Crowdstrike Incompetency or Cyberattack, either way, reveals flaws in the Internet's cyber security. I wonder what Apple's CEO is doing.
