Making Composite Decked Stairs!

This week in the BrookesWood makers space we planning on replacing the wooden deck boards with composite ones. Should have been a simple job until I started to take them off and had to destroy the subframe as it was rotten. This meant I had to rebuild the frame completely & then install the composite.

Nice bit of home carpentry mate. Often the way with these things, I had a very similar experience with my folks verandah. Was just meant to repair the balustrade, ended up replacing half the deck!

I'm sure your co-host would have wanted to join in the HULK SMASH action when tearing it down :) However, having three drunken midgets of my own I know what a terrible idea that would have been!
