Rape is not a punishment for drinking to excess. Thank you, Chanel for putting this truth into words.

"... I don't understand why it is relevant how quickly he can move across a body of water..." What an statement. Spit in the face of those who glorify the perpetrator whiles diminish the victim.

To the young men who stopped this terrible act from going further from a woman I thank you . Your family should be proud !
  • Dear Chanel- I am a mother and I am telling you to write those children's books! Let your LIGHT SHINE!

She is an incredibly strong woman. She had a great prosecutor. Two men who stepped in. They all made a difference and changed the trajectory of this tragedy. Excellent journalism.
  • As a father of two daughters, I would love for my girls to read a children's book written by this wonderful woman. We know who you are and we love you!

The two Swedish men were such heroes in this narrative - Miller's book is amazing - wish the three of them all the best in their courageous futures-
  • Those Swedish men who ran Turner down are heroes. Those are the kind of men women love and need in our lives, to help us and not "collude" with the old boy's club. Good for her! You go, girl!

11:57 hearing her talk about how she wanted to write children’s books, and thinking no parent would want “the girl behind a dumpster’s book” ... so heartbreaking. Thank you for your story Chanel ♥️

"Four years later the trauma remains" I was attacked when I was young (17) and it effected my life until I was 40!

Parents of boys teach your sons to be respectful and kind. Tell your sons not to touch a woman without her consent.

Brave and strong testimony from a person who refused to be silenced or have her story written by someone else.

Your incredible book reflected a role model of sister, daughter, woman, and friend. No one should have to be so brave but you were and are.

Every man should read this book. It is the most incredible account of her experience so perfectly written. She is a hero.

I can’t get past the fact she found out about her own assault via the news! 🤯 WTF

Chanel, one writer to another: I would be honored to read your children's books to my children someday. I want them to hear the words of a SURVIVOR. Please never give up on your dream.
  • Those two Swedish grad students need an award or to be formally recognized. We need them. We need men like them.
  • @foxibot
Way too many Brocks out there but not enough Chanel's (or swedish hero's) to bring the light to their darkness.
  • So glad that this Judge was recalled and the laws changed. Needs to happen everywhere.
