A stunning departure—and compelling return. From Anne Rice, perennial best-selling author and inventor of the modern vampire genre, comes a chilling, hypnotic new novel. Be among the first to hear the author of "Interview with the Vampire" on her next classic, "Prince Lestat: The Vampire Chronicles." Victoria Wilson, Rice’s longtime editor, joins her for a conversation.

I love this woman with all my heart. She's not only my favorite author, but also one of my favorite minds and hearts of the whole world. Her sensibility is so contagious and inspiring. Her intelligence is brilliant. Her mind is so astonishingly opened - we all have so much to learn from someone like her... I got really touched when she talked about Cry to Heaven book, that is the book of my life. And when she talked about the gender question. We have to be thankful: we have a writer like her in this world. I believe it's a blessing.

When I read Interview With The Vampire, I fell in love with Ms. Anne Rice instantly. I’ve always had a fascination with vampires since a very young age and as I grew up, I unintentionally had many people tell me I remind them of a vampire especially because of my eyes. So her ability to romanticize vampires and their tortured lives is a rare and true gift which touches my soul, especially as a gay man as I am. Thank You Ms. Rice for your eloquence and sophistication, and for the life you breathe into your characters. - The Vampire Cirad

I met her once, very down to earth. Thank you for your work. Rest In power Anne
  • I wish Anne Rice would do a biography on her husband Stan. Anne intrigued me enough to start writing around the age of 15 (after reading Interview with the Vampire), and Stan Rice inspired me to publish my poetry after I discovered some of his poems in her novels. I wish someone could pen a good bio movie on Anne Rice and have it showcase her eloquent and sophisticated style of writing, passion for New Orleans, and what went into her childhood to give us this graceful and intriguing woman. <3
  • I don't think I'm the only one who thinks the world will dim when her light goes out. Long live the Queen. Long live Anne Rice.

I don't think that there is a more well-known author that can reach all types of audiences like Anne Rice. I've been a fan for 15 years and continue to enjoy everything she puts out. I am happy to see that she's visiting the VC again.

Interview with the Vampire was the most engaging book ive ever read in my life. Just the way she describes what Louis felt and seen and thought about was so enveloping for me. By far my favorite author of all time. The movie killed it lmao. But damn what a good book
