I remember running down the hallway screaming "OMG MOM I FOUND A VIDEO ON THE COMPUTER. DID YOU KNOW YOU COULD HAVE VIDEOS ON THE COMPUTER" and the entire family gathered at the computer to watch the video for Buddy Holly in like 420p and we were amazed. Core memory for sure. Epic moment and an epic song.
  • 0:16 - Buddy Holly. 2:59, talking about Buddy Holly 5:36, the Undone Sweater Song, 9:05 talking about The Undone Sweater Song 11:40, Say it Ain't So-ohwoahohwoahohoh, 16:05, talking about Say it Ain't So 22:03, Surf Wax America. 25:14, talking about Surf Wax
  • I always love when the mix separate the instrument because you can put a headphone, close your eyes and imagine yourself in the middle of the band and feel each little detail in the music ...so each time you hear the song, you can focus in any of them ....

It's pretty cool that Weezer played at Spotify Studios. Weezer has had billions of listeners and made hundreds of dollars on Spotify.

This Audio Engineers really outdid themselves on this one. This sounds INCREDIBLE

I have never in my life heard Weezer this clearly before. Hats off to the engineers who pulled this off. Incredible audio quality!
  • I’m also 54. I also worked at tower records in LA in 89 (Westwood store). I heard the blue album when it came out and instantly fell in love with it. Around that time I also fell in love with a girl. She had a sister that had a two year old son. As time went by …and by default …I became that kids role model. He was like a sponge that soaked up everything about me. I taught him to play guitar.. and by the time he was in high school he’d become a truly gifted guitarist. Btw..I married his aunt and became his uncle. Then one night ….randomly…tragically….he died in a car accident. He was wearing an orange Weezer shirt when he died. And so …I have always wanted a weezer shirt ..but I could never find one. It’s funny but …Weezer ..was a common ground for me and my nephew. I love The minutemen, Bad Brains, Fishbone, X, Black Sabbath, Hendrix, the Beatles, Tom waits, Rakim, KRS one, T-Rex, the velvet underground etc etc And my nephew loved ..Minus the bear, Built to spill, Death cab, Band of Horses and bands like blink 182 and rage against the machine when he was a kid. But Weezer…..Weezer is where we came together. Weezer was foundational. And so thank you 🙏 ..thank you so much ❤️ Your music had an enormously positive and profound impact on my nephews life. And mine too. And on our relationship. His name is Micah Lira. There’s one vid of him playing guitar on YouTube. It’s just a random tune he wrote. He was planning on using his YouTube channel just to save music pieces he wrote so he wouldn’t forget them. Of course I cherish it. Btw years later me and his aunt had a daughter. And of course …she grew up loving Weezer. My wife took her to see you guys. She cried lol. Anyway….Viva Weezer ⚡️ Love ya ❤
  • I wish they could have gotten Matt Sharp to come back for this. I was hoping they would play the album front to back. I love every song.

Im a black guy that grew up in a predominately white small town in Mississippi. I had this album and burned scratches into the disc i loved it so much and white kids at my school couldnt fathom me loving this album so much. Great is great. And it reaches who it reaches.

First day of middle school I wore a Weezer shirt and I saw this girl that was wearing the exact same shirt. We looked right at each other, pointed, and said “Weezer!” I’m over 40 now and we’ve been good friends ever since.

crazy to think this album is as old to us as the first few beatles albums were at the time
  • Just had my first kid literally today. Named him rivers. Wild this happened to be released on the same day. Also crazy that one of the nurses recognized the name and asked if it was from weezer, and then when she went back and looked, saw them on this exact day back in 2013. Crazy coincidences.

My dad would play Weezer in the car during long drives and it became one of my favorite albums over the years and I am starting college in the fall and I am still listening to blue album. Thanks Weezer.

The first three albums I ever bought with my own money was back in 1994. I picked up Weezer - Blue Album, Green Day - Dookie and the Offspring - Smash. Seeing what the music industry has become over the last 25 years I’m truly blessed to have grown up with such great music in the 80s and 90s.

"I wasn't aware of what a hit was, I wasn't thinking about a single, we were just trying to make a good record" rc🤘🤓🤘
  • I’m 43 this year. Blue was the first cassette I played until it broke. 30 years later and I still have the cd in heavy rotation in my car. It’s a straight up 90s masterpiece and it makes me happy as heck to hear it played so brilliantly. Thanks Weezer!
  • My daughter and I went to their concert last year and it was one of the BEST I've ever seen!! It was great to share one of my favorite bands with my daughter, who also loves their music. I highly recommend seeing Weezer live if you ever have the chance.

My friend and I wrote a letter (remember letters?) to the address on the cd case asking for the lyrics. Weeks later, we received them. They were handwritten (a copy, or course) and we were “so stoked”! Wish I’d kept them.
