The costume drama series, Downton Abbey, written and created by Oscar-winning writer Julian Fellowes, stars Academy Award-winner Maggie Smith as a Dowager Countess of an Edwardian English country house in 1912. The series portrays the lives of the Crawley family and the servants who work for them, in a time before the last vestige of a century’s old tradition were stripped away by World War and the modern age. The all-star cast also includes Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern.

@Downton Abbey - No apostrophe is necessary in Crawleys. An apostrophe doesn’t make a word plural. It denotes possession or ownership.

7:08 My how far they've come. If you rewind back to season 2 when Lord Grantham was prepared to pay Branson to leave Downton Abbey and Sybil for good. Then in season 5 when Robert tries to "convince" Cora to let Sybiee stay while Branson leaves for America. This moment is during Christmas of Season 5 just before Tom and Miss Sybiee leave. If you're not fighting back tears during that speech, let's just say "A lack of compassion can be just as vulgar as an excess of tears."

We enjoyed watching the Christmas episode very much except for Anna being raped. And I have to admit..... I was angry watching Anna being hurt by hands of Mr. Green whom was not one of my favorite characters bc of what he did to Anna.
