meanwhile there's a hellish planet out there that has become unusually peaceful after all of the monsters are sucked into infinite dimensions

Sequels: we need a last minute way to explain how the stories are related. Answer: MULTIVERSE

"I'm not sure how to explain my story." "Alternate dimensions." "Sweet."

I really want there to be more Cloverfield movies. I love the concept of movies that have a vaguely shared universe (or multiverse, as it were) that have some levels of crossover, but are pretty much all self-contained rather than sequels or prequels.

Man I need a fourth movie to force me to watch the fifth movie which will lead me to the 12th movie that might elude to the explanation that may explain everything coherently.

I wonder if those poor bastards in the space pod noticed that gigantic beast as they were making landfall on the surface !O_O! Imagine looking out of your pod window all all you see is this megalithic beast just roaring in the distance.... R.I.P..

Just imagine how cool this series could be if it was PLANNED OUT BEFOREHAND, instead of sci-fi films being jury-rigged to fit the overarching story

If you watch both the first Cloverfield and Paradox at the same time the monster's appearance in the first one and firing the particle machine in Paradox match up perfectly.

I just wanna see some more damn monsters plzzz...
  • So what your saying is, every conflict in the cloverfeild series happens because some smart bois wanted to solve an energy crisis through fucking with the space time continuum.

A “Cloverfield” is a reference to a place that suffered a nuclear bomb, and clovers are the first plant that will grow after the earth has been “reset”. Naming the ship Cloverfield perfectly represents how the creators of the movie didn’t understand the beautiful simplicity of the first movie. It was called Cloverfield because the government nuclear bombed Manhattan. I think it shows pretty well that they never intended to do what they did to the series
  • This guys dvd collection is what my vhs collection used to be like back in the day
