Clark Gable: Viva La Vida

Published 2022-12-28
Old Hat Cinema proudly presents . . . the King of Hollywood, folks! That's the nickname that defined Clark Gable for a number of years throughout the 1930s and early '40s, as he memorably starred in some of the biggest classics such as "It Happened One Night" (1934) and, of course, "Gone with the Wind" (1939). Here is my tribute to him, with the song "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay. "Now the old king is dead, long live the king!"

Good ole Clark! Great song choice too! And if not for Lionel Barrymore ‘s insistence, Clark may not of gotten his big chance. He always credited him with that. ❤

Thanks for sharing. As big of a star as he was, I actually think he was underrated as an actor. A couple of my favorite performances were The Hucksters (47) and Any Number Can Play (49).
