I also really appreciate that this actually LOOKS like it was filmed in the late 80s/early 90s and nothing is overly detailed. (Huge pet peeve of mine when movies try this style but everything’s still way too detailed compared to how it was back then)

the quirky DIY aesthetic of the ending, feels very faithful to the era you’re trying to emulate. so many movies at that time had gadgets and devices and home-made contraptions. seeing that same concept referenced here (whether intentional or not), really felt authentic. loved it !!
