  • Saw a documentary about this guy, feeding sharks with his right hand. "Captain Fearless" they used to call him. Call him "lefty" now.
  • Bud light in one hand, a dead fish in the other, provoking a mostly violent predator. Dammit I love this country.

I feel bad for the divers who have to clean hulls in that marina.

Bull sharks are very dangerous, as they attack usually not for food, but territory, plus they are bad tempered as they have the highest testosterone level of any shark. Tigers are usually looking for food, great whites usually mistaken identity or is an explorative bite, bull sharks basically are like the nutter in the pub, they are moody and account for the majority of shark attacks I believe. I don’t think a single fish would cause an issue, the shark simply honed in on the splashing, thing that the fish was in its death throws, which is standard behaviour, however you shouldn’t really take the risk and feed any wild animal.

Bull Sharks: Very nice sharks but not such a responsible action to encourage them to be attracted to human behaviour.....as in other circumstances they will associate the splashing and human interaction with food. Just saying. Could be a swimmer next time!

“Cleaning a fish in the harbor” you know opening it up and then slapping it around in the water next to the dock where there are tons of people.....OR he was just trying to attract a shark in the most obvious way possible.

I live in the Keys. We respect rather than fear the ocean, the weather, and the sharks. The slap happy visitor, however, is a threat to us all as we try to temper our tolerance with their ignorance. Every year some of these people make the last trip of their lifetime in the Keys. One should never visit where they have no interest in understanding.
  • Teaching a bull shark to come close to humans for food what a brilliant idea.

I'm a 5th gen. Key West Conch those Bull sharks, Tiger sharks, Hammerheads, Black Tips and Lemon Sharks have ALWAYS BEEN THERE! So for all you guys making Negative comments and giving this boats Professional crew a hard time calling them names because "They are attracting them there and it's dangerous" have no idea of what your talking about As kids we'd catch and release them off the dock along with 200 pound Tarpon and Jew Fish. We had to use my Grandpa's friend truck to get one of the Jew fish out he was so big. We kept him and fed all our friends. Giant Schools of Tarpon were rolling everywhere in the harbor. There used to be a lot more there before there was so much boat traffic. I used to clean the widows under the Glass Bottom boat there and never once was I ever bothered by any of them. Even when I cleaned them the windows at night. It was easier to see where the algae was on the glass at night if you left the lights on in the boat. The shallow water is where the bait is where there is bait fish there are fish that eat them. I Also ran and owned Charter Sportfishing boats here for well over 20 years and worked Dive boats and commercial fishing before that and all of my biggest sharks have came from less than 4 feet of water. We used to release Sawfish just across the harbor too. So Please stop giving these guys a hard time saying they are making it dangerous and unsafe for others by feeding them when you obviously don't know what your talking about. Your 10,0000 times more likely to die from a bee sting than a Shark Attack. Stop believing everything you see in movies. lol. People should be thanking this boats crew for them taking their time to show you something that most people who don't live here won't ever get to see up close and FOR FREE!! They still have hours of work to due cleaning and washing the boat, putting the unused bait away and putting the equipment away yet. It's still a lot of hard work even if it's something you LOVE to do. Pretty Work boys.

the video says the attraction of the sharks was unintentional but the audio and the actions said otherwise
  • Props to whoever has to dive and clean the hulls of these ships, I can barely go near the ocean without feeling uneasy
  • We were kayaking in key west in the mangroves , a small bull shark swam by us. It’s really cool to see one close.
  • Yup never swim where fish are cleaned, or fishing boats are docked.
  • @kevinallen6197
Not to bright chumming bull sharks into the harbor. People swim in most harbors. Man killer sharks
  • @hallamanda1644
Fun fact about bull sharks they are the only known shark species that can swim in both salt and freshwater so long as the water has a small amount of salt in it, have fun swimming in the Mississippi guys😂
  • @erichu-a-ng4748
