Hello folks! Incredible! I found a rate axe with the shape of a viking battle axe! It was created by a blacksmith! This is not a factory release. The price was small about USD $8. When I saw that axe head I made decision instantly it's should be mine! Well, in restoration process the first stem was an electrolysis, to remove all rust from the axe head, then I used anglegrinder two remover dark layer from the blade.

Also, I used random sanding machine with few sandpapers and finally leave axe in iron chloride to add little of dark color. The handle of the axe, I made from walnut. The Scandinavian battle axe was from 90 cm to 120 cm. I choose the 1 m. When the ax handle ready I used two component paint and linseed oil. Old for handle wrap I used a leather, glue and two nails with epic had.

End finally I made crazy test for my new two handed viking battle axe. I hope you enjoy this restoration project. Thank you for attention!

Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

Молодец ты парень, ты отлично придаёшь кавказский стиль холодному оружию, ты мне напоминает Дато Туташхия, был в советское время такой фильм про Грузинского Героя, продолжай так и дальше, а другие пусть завидуют молча!!!

👍👌👏 Very well done! I'm really really glad and pleased that you didn't over-restored the blade (like a lot of YouTubers unfortunately do). Because such an old hand forged piece never had a mirror finish surface (not even if brand new). Thanks a lot for making teaching recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and health.

Если викинги жили лет 70 назад то да это топор викингов 😂
  • Adds +5 to strength and +9000 to all coolness. Well done on the neo Viking type axe resto.

As an Icelandic viking, no, that is not viking at all. But you managed too catch the viking style. Well done! My forfathers would have been proud too use that!

  • You’re right. That was definitely not a factory made blade. That eye was folded and forge welded by the look of it. Well done, sir.

Это топор виноградаря, а не топор викингов.

Whether or not it is an actual historical Viking axe, it is still a nice restoration

Man you're killing me with that gorgeous but unprotected parquet wood floor!!! Aiy! That being said, your restorations are fantastic and you're very talented craftsman!
