This week, I'm revisiting a thread that went round the Vinyl Community a few years back. I'm taking a look at the most valuable records in my collection according to Discogs. As always, thanks for watching and supporting my channel. Cheers #vinylcommunity #musiccommunity #mrboulder

  • Always enjoy watching these types of videos James… as it’s always a real pleasure getting to see some of the rarer pieces in people’s collections. Thanks for sharing them with us my friend🤘🏻
  • @metalmartymac
Wow some incredible records there James..Savage prices
  • @devildozer
I just looked up Def Leppard's Slang vinyl on ebay and the cheapest used copy is $300 USD. Just wow! I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for this album in the wild for sure!
  • @jkmetal1974
😮 I was expecting some Death metal OG's in the top 3, like "Symbolic" for example.....great video!!
  • @Hptms
Mr B! New to your channel. Surprised about Jar of Flies, I have the same one. Going deep on your videos, loving the content. Subbed 🤘🏻
  • @Triggervidz
Nice to see Celtic Frost Morbid Tales - I have a reissue of this one, and it is still on Discogs with a median of £60. I also have To Mega Therion and The Emperor's return on vinyl which are worth around £80 each. My most valuable vinyl album is a grey marbled press of Venom's Black Metal which cost me £3.99 in 1987 and is now worth £149. Some of these 80s albums go for silly money now.
  • Great video as per usual James! Intresting topic. Some nice surprises here, surprised with the Alice in Chains one. The prices for (most) new vinyls nowadays are ridiculous, same goes for cd's. 🥲
  • @tainted_lord87
Crazy how pricey and valuable that Alice in Chains, Nirvana and Celtic Frost are.
  • @Shelby8371
Motley Crue album with John on vocals$$$$$$ hunt for that one
  • Lots of great vinyl on show here James. I was surprised also when doing this thread how much some recent M.O.V releases have shot up in value. I liked the Vince Neil and Nirvana. And just a mention - have you been listening to Bon Jovi's latest?. I know you have been burnt before with them, but I have enjoyed it!.
  • @BeardyRedViking
A very varied mix of titles here Mr B. As usual, of course! Crazy prices, too. 80s and 90s OGs you expect those kinds of price tags, but for reissues it's insane! As you say, you're a very lucky man to own some of these, but if you've still been buying vinyl all along, it's fair to say you've paid your dues! Cheers! 🤘
  • Love watching these vids🤘crazy mix of glam, 90s and extreme and I wasn’t too surprised to see a couple of reissues especially MOV as I know a few of those can fetch big$$$ now.
  • @metalmickey
Great video mate. You're very lucky to have grabbed these for cheap prices. Once you hit those early 90s years it can get crazy. Really surprised by the MOV reissues going for such prices but they are very well made.
  • @seanbeast939
Always enjoy watching these. Some obscure bands that's for sure lol 😆
  • @jimmyr204
Some great stuff on your list! That second Lynch Mob album is on my list of all time favorites. There are also two b-side tracks (Japan?) for that release that are definitely worth downloading. I have so many George Lynch / Lynch Mob albums floating around in my collection. Kix was the house band for the Baltimore heavy metal bar where I grew up. Great memories!
  • Hi James!!! cool stuff and crazy prices too.... you can easuly buy a car with some of those records, lol!!! So nice to see some good ol' 80's hard rock bands like Kix, Danger Danger and even Lynch Mob too, their first two releases are awesome. No surprise seeing 90's OG pressing going for big $$$, but MOV reissues too?? that's a big surprise. cheers and be well

Just a short info on the Celtic Frost record: The one you have is the 1986 repress, you can make it out by the innersleeve. It´s listed as that on Discogs. That can´t be for real because the inner shows Helloween´s "Keeper 1" and Kreator´s "Terrible Certainty" that both came out in 1987. There´s also a 1989 repress that has a different innersleeve. The center lables are differnent as well on the multible pressings. I don´t rely on Discogs, there´s too many errors. It´s ok for giving you a direction but not much more. I don´t want to put down your video with this comment, I just wanted to point out the mistakes you can find on a platform like this. I´ve been buying and selling records for over 30 years now and you rarely get the prices that are announced. Ok ok, I sold my OGs of Nirvana´s "Nevermind" and Alice in Chains´ "Dirt" for A LOT, hahaha... Keep up the good work and sorry for the rant!
  • Fantastic vinyl Mr Boulder I definitely would like to have that Alice In Chains unplugged ! I’m into all that hair(pop, bubble gum) metal I know a lot of people laugh at that LA Glam metal but I absolutely love it , so many great bands from that era . Danger Danger and KiX especially I got into those bands in the later 80’s and early 90’s until grunge took over , Don’t Close Your Eyes was easily the most played jukebox song played at a local bar I went to , great music and I need to and see what the pounds are converted into US dollars I know it’s a lot for sure , fantastic channel a lot of interesting stuff . Cheers from Rhode Island USA and best wishes to your band Of Concrete Gods is some very good music I might add 🤘🏻

I'm surprised that none of those bands were obscure. Don't have any of those, only Alice In Chains on cd and Jar and Sap as more recent vinyl reissues. I remember when those Alice In Chains mov's came, i could've bought them several times, but ended up on buying the cd's. Oh well..... Pasi
