i love how he keeps his cool stuff and uses advanced techniques only on some litlle special moments, which means he is not a show of, but a real player, unlike 99% of todays bass/el.guitar players :D

The crowd was chill overall. People around the camera knew it was going on YouTube. Thank you so much everyone for watching.

I think one of my favorite things about victor, other than how much he genuinely enjoys music, is how he recovers from "wrong" notes. Like at 8:57 he just takes that and works it into the performance like it was always meant to be there. He is an amazing example of how being a good musician isn't about not making mistakes, it's about allowing yourself to build something out of them.

Mr. Wooten is my favorite bass player. He may not be the most precise or cleanest I've heard but he has the groove ...and the pocket to hold it.

Hands down the greatest bassist in the galaxy , probably the universe. Nobody can touch him.

I love it when Victor does those almost "banjoesque" runs on his bass. I guess with all those years of playing Bela Fleck, a lil' banjo must've rubbed off a bit ;) He's always experimenting, trying things, one of the most inventive musicians I can think of. Always fun hearing him play, Go Vic!

  • Victor Wooten literally played his bass so hard during that solo section that his strings FELL FLAT after returning to the head. Jesus.
