This movie made Cap the badass he really is. Didn't hesitate to jump out a 10th story window after taking out like 9 guys. Loved the fact that he offered to let people out before the fight started.
  • This whole sequence from the elevator to the take down of the plane is still one of my favorite moments of action in the entire MCU. Really showed just how bad ass Cap truly is and I still believe he has the best trilogy out of all the franchises.

This right here is proof that Captain America is smart. Steve Rogers was already sort of smart before taking the Super-Soldier Serum. But people seem to forget that just as he was enhanced physically, so was he mentally. Captain America possesses peak human mental processing. For him, that usually takes the form of being a master tactician and strategist. Fun Fact: The reason that Captain America's shield always comes back to him is because his brain does all the calculations to determine where it will ricochet and how it will land.

As a kid I was fan of Ironman but as I grew older I admired Captain America...huge respects for this character

Stillwell's superior: 'Report!' Stillwell: 'Well, we had him alone in an elevator surrounded by like a dozen of our muscle.' Superior: 'Nice. So he went down easy, then?' Stillwell: 'Uh, well no. He beat them all up and left them unconscious on the floor.' Superior: 'Oh. Well, that's not unexpected for a soldier of his legendary reputation.' Stillwell: 'I thought so too. So then I sent in another dozen armed soldiers to get him out of the elevator.' Superior: 'Good thinking. So, then you got him?' Stillwell: 'You would think, but no. He hurled himself off the damn elevator through the glass.' Superior: 'How high up was he?' Stillwell: 'About 23 floors.' Superior: 'Regrettable, but I assume you used the utmost discretion in cleaning up his corpse after?' Stillwell: 'Actually, he walked away from that without a scratch. We really need to look into how that shield of his works.' Superior: 'Noted. Did you lock down the garage, when he tried to escape?' Stillwell: 'Yes, sir, but he managed to get out before lockdown. I had to send in a small helicarrier to force him to stand down.' Superior: 'A bit excessive, but understandable, considering his previous actions. Meet force with adequate countermeasures. So where is he now? I'd like to interrogate him.' Stillwell: 'He ... uh... disabled the helicarrier with his shield and some acrobatic flips and then he rode off.' Superior: '...I'm starting to think we never should have left Shield...' Stillwell: 'That thought had crossed my mind too, sir.'

It feels like I rewatch this once a month. My absolute favorite sequence in the MCU.
  • I love the way that you can see his thought process. He goes from feeling somethings off, noticing the man anxiety-sweating, surveying the elevator for threats, then, “oooh, okay. I see what’s up..” “…before any of you wants to gets started…”😂

And right at this moment, Cap got everyone's respect and attention he always deserved.

I always crack up at 2:52 when the guy is like ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! after seeing Cap' jump from what looks to be at least 20 stories and not only SURVIVE, but shakes it off, gets up, and CONTINUE RUNNING like it was NOTHING. I absolutely LOVE what they did with the Steve character in this film. They really hit home the fact that this guy is a literal SUPER SOLDIER at peak physical condition. This movie turned Captain America into a bonafide action star. Seeing him here leaves no doubt that this man can fight alongside the likes of Thor (a literal god), Hulk, and Ironman.

I love how these guys think they can beat a WW2 veteran still in top condition and recently battled an army of aliens

Henry Jackman hitting all the right notes musically. The music certainly has that Dark Night quality to it. His soundtrack to the last Uncharted game stands testament to his ability to score on a cinematic scale

"Before we get started, does anyone want to get off?" One of the baddest lines eva! Clap 👏 🔥 I LOVE this scene!

3:09 When the pilot warns him to stand down, and he increases the speed.... It gives goosebumps.

Soldier: “You have nowhere to go” Cap: smashes through elevator window and falls about 50 floors

Captain America was a total badass. But as Steve Rogers he still had this vulnerability as a human. That's what always made him my favorite MCU character.
