It's not the destination, Adam. It's the journey. So, I don't think you made the WRONG flamethrower. You simply made A DIFFERENT flamethrower and in doing so, you smoothed out the rough spots for your final flamethrower build by doing proof-of-concept work, on a separate project. Or you made the wrong flamethrower....
