She's so incredibly good. She takes you from a bar night to Sunday church and brings you back to your table to finish your drink in one song. I'm not even Christian. Her voice is divine.

2023, 64 years old. I can't imagine the amount of times that I've heard this song. Thank you Nina. Thank you.

"Sinnerman" is an African American traditional spiritual song that has been recorded by a number of performers. The lyrics describe a sinner attempting to hide from divine justice on Judgment Day. The song "No Hiding Place" is also based on passages from the New Testament.

The most badass gospel/jazz you'll ever hear in your mortal life.
  • It doesn't matter what musical "tribe" you're from, some things are immutable, and this is one of those. Hands down one of the greatest pieces of music ever recorded..

I saw her perform this live on her last concert tour. I was twenty feet from the stage and she was solo at the piano for 8 minutes and it was AMAZING! She is the most amazing artist of the 20th century.
