Today we get to roller skate inside an abandoned mall! This was very creepy mall skating video because I have never been to this mall and it was almost completely empty. Do not try this at your mall please, let me do it so you don't have to! I hope you guys enjoy this one and share it to someone who you think might like it, will I get kicked or roll away from the cops unschathed?

Also gigantic shout out to "Its ya boy Donte" for all the music provided in this video please go support him!

Please consider sharing this video because it would really help out with the algorithms a lot! 🙏🏼💕🦑

Abandoned malls should definitely be repurposed as skating mazes. Also "Please don't try this at home" .....of course, you go to the mall you silly ;-).

Mall floors always look so gloriously smooth. I get why skating is banned, but man, when it's that quiet and empty it just looks like it was built for it.

Its kinda sad seeing malls die. The convenience of being able to buy anything online from home is fantastic, but something about the feeling you get when you shop at a mall is so magical. It's more like a hangout spot that happens to have stores. I will miss them :(

Its crazy seeing a mall, that's still open, but so damn empty.
  • @GoldTegu
This totally gives vibes of "skating in the backrooms" or something like that
  • I remember being here since I was a child, and the place has always been eerily empty like that. The Macy’s closes later than the mall, and it looks like a liminal space.
  • I used to play gigs at a cajun restaurant upstairs every Friday. Pre pandemic. It's wild seeing this mall so empty. Leaving dc for good next week. Would have loved to meet you. Love how respectful you are.
    Keep rolling!

I’ve recently got back into skating after 14 year gap. I love how smooth you transition from skating forwards and backwards throughout, something I’m definitely still working on.
It’s the first video I’ve come across of yours, great content.

The first time I got kicked out of the mall was in 1997, and it was for skating in the mall with a friend and then running from security for a while. My only suggestion for skating where you aren't supposed to, is make sure you're good on your skates before trying it. Runing from security is inevitable, it will happen; but that's the fun part in my experience. Enjoyed your vid man, that mall is somethin else!!

I wish I was this guy, just skating around in places and just being care free

Great video! It's surreal to see two things that haven't existed since the 90's/early 2000's (rollerblades and malls) in the modern day, but the mall is empty.

This video would have been a whole different thing 20-30 years ago. Still, it got me to dust off my old skates and spend a few hours on the bike path. Just as fun as I remember it.

I grew up going to this mall and it’s been steadily declining for at least 7 years. The shoe stores, bath and body works, macys, and restaurants have been there since I was a kid. Everything else is relatively new (like the lady whose been there since 2019). If you haven’t tried going to Washingtonian Center (also known as Rio) you might enjoy skating there. It’s a large outlet (just don’t go on Friday’s/weekends to avoid heavy foot traffic !) thanks for the video :))) love your skating!
  • I acknowledge I am one of your many subscribers who think it's funny when you get kicked out of a mall or any place where skating is not allowed! Keep up the good videos, you have of the best skating channels here on YT!
  • You say to not skate in malls ourselves but here in the UK trespassing is not a crime as it's extremely hard to govern, malls are also classed as "public" (because anyone can come and go as they please and it's an big open area with parks and such) so if security tells you to leave because your skating just let them call the police because it's not against the law to skate in public so they can't do anything.

Believe it or not, this mall used to be one of the best in the area. I used to come here pretty much every weekend and it was packed even back in 2018. It's sad how much it's deteriorated and how many stores have closed part of the reason is because a lot of crime in the area. Plus I'm sure the pandemic did not help as well.
  • I used to get kicked out of this mall skating around it about 15yrs ago. Thanks for the video it really brought back some memories.
  • This mall opened in 1978, and thrived until around 2005-2010 when it rather quickly started to decline. They lost Penny's, then Lord and Taylor, then Sears. You can't survive as a small shop in a big place with no anchor store traffic. One anchor doesn't move people from end to end, past the little shops. We skated through yesterday, but got tossed. We had a good strategy, though, that worked because I knew where security was located, and what parts would be busy. So we made it through the entire mall before being thrown out.
