Own the same exact car mines 1997 Cadillac deville, polo green got it two and a half years ago of a older man as well every maintenance record, oil service record etc , has 70, 450 k original miles , I will never get rid of it, all though they can be a pain sometimes there still an all around great car in my eyes, not to big, not to small, rides like butter, only thing I wish was different was the northstar motor, although I don’t mind it and like it , a lot of mechanics don’t like too work on them because I guess some things make no sense on how they made the vehicle when things go out , makes you become real familiar with your car that way which is a good thing in my eyes, cause most people , they just drive there cars, put gas, get a oil change every so often, etc, but they don’t know there car, myself personally I really like the older car motors , easy to work on, not a bunch of electrical etc, when cars were still made with pride and actual medal, I mean I know times change, technology changes and increases and expands alll the time, but these new cars are crap in my eyes everything is plastic just cheap, things go out too quick and when they do you gotta replace something else just nightmares, anyways yes these cars are great in my eyes like I said I own same year except mines the stock polo green color which is nice cause it’s different and then I have Dayton wire wheels with vouge tires, get complaints on it every time I take her out every time never fails makes you feel good though. Just bought one with the de Elegance package with 40K miles, owned by a 91 year old man, had always been garaged. I've really enjoyed it! I notice the Information panel doesn't show your gas mileage. Also, mine has a 12 disc CD player in the trunk--the magazine is in the player, but it doesn't show up inside and opening the door does not eject the magazine. I haven't had it looked at yet. The cassette player does work perfectly as does the radio.
