***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****

Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.

We put out new videos every week! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

I don't know what could be better then having your child accept Jesus and be baptized.....25 years of marriage is awesome and a child marrying the love of their life is incredible. God's face is shining and your faithfulness is being rewarded.
  • What a Hugh praise for Samantha! That's the greatest joy that can ever be experienced for her and for you all as her momma and daddy. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I am 69, and you have taught an old dog new treats in gardening. I grow mostly in my 36x16ft greenhouse, but I have 6 8ft raised beds, a 60-foot hugelkultur, outside. I also raise my peas and potatoes in pots and bags. I live in Alaska but lived in mid Missouri until 2015, when as a missionary, my late husband and I were called up here. I still do Bible study and discipline in the ladies' correctional center here. May the Lord bless you all this year, in all you stand in need of.

So glad you had a good year! I turned 70 this year, made a very difficult move from my home state of Kansas back to Missouri to the area where my son lives so I could see him and my grandson more. I love gardening, gardened 50+ years, and after watching homesteading videos like yours, I grew hundreds of plants from seed. I even grafted about 15 tomato plants, basically just having fun with trying many fun varieties. I lived with my son and grandson from 2015 to 2022, turned the back yard into garden, built a cattle panel hoop house greenhouse, grew 100 tomato plants in 2021 and 200 tomato plants in 2022. I had pepper plants, squash, melons, potatoes, sweet potatoes, flowers and delicious strawberries. I experimented with gardening methods like hay bale gardening, woodchip mulch, which I do not like, too hard to dig 200+ planting holes in and very splintery to walk over, also, small hugel culture spot, grafted tomato plants, etc. Garden heaven. Bless my son for letting me garden in his yard. Your videos are the gold standard for gardening and homesteading and my source of entertainment! Thank you! Now, how about a pantry tour and more cooking and preserving, foraging, shopping videos! Have a very Happy New Year!

On a sad note, I lost my son who was 36 years old in September in the 5th. He is a father to two daughters ages 13 and 4. He died from pulmonary embolisms and deep vein thrombosis. On a higher note, I have started a walk fit program to improve myself, along with diet changes. This has helped quite a bit. I have to say Kevin and Sarah, that you both look soamazing! You seem more relaxed, happy and the way you both look at each other, that is true love!! I love that about you!! ❤ Much love ❤️

Wishing you and your family a fantastic 2024. Today is our 59th anniversary. Yay!
  • @forrestgump9576
What a year it has been! 😊 Tears of joy when you talked about Samantha! Congratulations all! Lk 15:10 I think the raised garden is a blessing in disguise. None of us are getting younger, and gardening is hard work. And what a productive year for harvesting meat for the family! PTL! And to be able to share with other families, even better🥰 God bless and take care everyon
  • @creativerita
I really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. I am always impressed with your sharing
  • Thank you for sharing your year with us. I love your Christ centered lifestyle. That's a powerful wittness to God's love and grace. I am looking forward to seeing what you grow in the raised beds. God continue to bless you both in 2024.

Hello from the north of Sweden! Today is our 43th weddinganiversary. We are a christian couple ,farmers. I have worked as a doctor in the hospital near our farm and my husband and sons have managed the farm. I am growing a lot in my garden and have used rased beds for over 30 years and it have worked very well. Our climate is much colder today we have minus 29 celsius ! I love that you always end you videos with a blessing ! God bless you two and your family.
  • Both my grandson’s accepted Christ and were baptized. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer on April 1st. It’s been a rough road. My husband had a stroke last January and had to take early retirement. It’s been a wild year but we made it and pray that 2024 bring answers to my cancer treatment.
  • @DrofJustice
I super enjoy watching you do animal chores, so if you’re stuck for content, just some come along for chores is always a great blessing! Love how healthy y’all look. Thanks for all you do. ❤
  • Awesome recap! We had our first grandchild, a week after our son and daughter in law’s first anniversary!!! And boy what you hear is the truth, grandchildren are the Beat Blessing for God!!! We had him for his first Christmas and what a joy!!! (Oh and his parents too😂). Prayers for a healthy and blessed 2024 to y’all, and all who enjoy your channel, Kristy aka your “neighbor” in West Plains 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

A wonderful year for you- minus the tick fever and loss of calves, that is. It was lovely being able to follow along, looking forward to each of your videos. It was a weird year for my husband and me, with both blessings and challenges. We too took up a low-carb lifestyle. We eat a ton of veggies, so I don't consider it to be Keto, but there are no starches or sugar. We've both lost about 80 lbs each, so we're far healthier and our blood work shows it. However, he got appendicitis and I got an umbilical hernia, so we both ended up with abdominal surgeries. That's no fun and I'm 12 days post surgery, so Christmas celebrations were kept light and brief. We also had the solemn task of having to evict a tenant from a second home, who'd stopped paying rent. After giving her nearly a year of grace, that court proceeding took several more months, and we just regained possession on 12/31. We were grateful that she left on the ordered date so that the sheriff didn't need to physically remove her, but now have the task of cleaning up a serious hoarders situation that will require gutting the kitchen and bathroom, and those renovations before we can list it for sale. Still, we're grateful to have that concluded after more than a year and a half of that challenging stress and have already made impactful progress with the clean-up. I don't know why I had an obsession with watching hoarding shows in the past, but I guess I was getting trained and prepared with how to safely approach and clean up that situation. Please pray for our former tenant for recovery from her multi-faceted mental and emotional illnesses.
  • This is simply an awesome recap from an awesome couple. Kevin, because of you, I began over 2 years ago, hatched and raised approximately 40 Quail. Got NPIP certified here in north eastern Tennessee. Sold multitudes of quail eggs to 2 different super markets and loved every minute of that experience. Learned from both of you and Sarah so much on gardening and this past summer, everything changed for my wife and I. Inspired by your lives, we sold out small subdivision home of 4 years, sold our quail business, sold everything to acquire several acres here in the Appalachian mountains. We were not able to maintain the Quail due to the major expenses of the new to be Homestead out here. I’m in my late 60s but working hard to keep good health and excited for all of our futures in 2024. God bless you both. Love all you do. Wayne and Aida Sparks
  • Thank you for the recap of 2023. You have accomplished so much on this property, and in your lives. May God continue to pour His favor upon you, your family and your extended family.
  • @lisal77
Your videos have helped me through 2023 as an escape. My father had a stroke in November 2022 and 2023 has been about caring for him and working with him through rehab. I enjoy my coffee on the homestead with you both as an uplifting start to my day. Bless you both
  • @terraranch1459
I love your gardening in pots and raised beds and showing how we can age in place to make gardening easier for us moving forward. Hugs Sarah and Kevin❤
  • @ralpharvin2668
We have been with you through 2023 via your videos and have enjoyed this fellowship of "living". The highlight today was also getting to witness your daughter's baptism, so thanks for sharing this.
  • @kathys9786
2023 brought us grand baby number five, I turned 65 so officially a senior citizen (although I don't feel like one, lol) and, inspired by you guys, I gave up 90% of the sugar I used to eat, walked between 1-3 miles per day, I'm up to 16 hours a day fasting and I've lost 18 pounds! Love your channel!
  • @sallyboothe911
Praying God’s Blessings on each of you and your families in 2024. 🙏🏻
