THIS is the song for anyone who just broke out of a toxic relationship with a narcissist. They don’t own you. Go be free.

One of the most triumphantly joyous movie endings I have ever watched in a major Hollywood comedy. Made me cheer in the theatre!

This film clip should be played before the current Supreme Court...
  • @randyhoward9800
I still think this is one of the most dynamic musical clips in Hollywood history.
  • When this song first came out young women were expected to get married, stay home, have a few kids, and worship their husbands... this song was revolutionary and Leslie Gore was a true heroine for having the nerve to release it. There was tremendous backlash against it... I was in high school in Ohio at the time and I knew a dozen girls whose parents forbade them to listen to it - they did anyway - and , for some of them at least, it had a profound effect on their lives.
