Thank you! I prefer watercolor paper / board that has a smooth surface like Arches Hot Press, or Crescent Cold Press Watercolor Board. Mainly because I like a smooth drawing surface and most of the work I do gets turned into prints; most cold press has texturing which translates to shadows once it's scanned. If you're unsure, go to google and search for "watercolor paper sampler" if you're in the US Cheap Joes & Daniel Smith offer sampler packs.

Do you prefer hot press to not? Can you tell me why because I'm trying to decide what paper to buy. Lovely painting by the way.
