By far one of my most favorite mangaka, the colors and the contrast in his/her illustrations is just too perfect! (although some of them may be too small and messy to understand, but you still get the point) The meaning behind the illustrations is also quite subtle, like for example the Urie, Mutsuki, and Saiko one represent the 3 wise monkeys Urie with the duct tape around his mouth 3:42 : speak no evil Mutsuki with the flower covering her eyes 4:03 : see no evil And Saiko covering both of her ears 4:21 : hear no evil These subtle meaning in his/her illustrations is just like the cherry on top!

Ishida's illustrations are so beautiful. There's always a hint of sadness in them, even the more colorful ones, the way I see them that is. I especially love the illustration at 7:44, upper left. Kaneki and Touka had the most heart felt love scene ever. It wasn't erotic at all. It was just sad and beautiful. I also love his Hisoka drawings. He did a short manga about his past life. It was awesome! This seems to have more pages than the former Zakki. Planning on getting my hands on this.

Great review. Hadn't seen this, I wouldn't know that there is a sequel already to the first artbook (Zakki). Anyhow, keep up the good work! As an artbook collector, I find your channel very useful.

I know so much time was put into the making of this art book, but is there a reason it’s so expensive? (I mean no disrespect to Ishida because it’s truly a beautiful book) I was just wondering why the price is so high compared to the first Tokyo Ghoul Zakki.
