FINALLY! Now that I have both my costume and saber, I've finally managed to get a review up of my customized UltraSabers Flamberge. Because the video is very long, I won't be offended if you choose not to watch the whole thing. Hey there +Nerys Ghemor! I'm "justmutantjed" on The Forum, figured I'd drop in and say "hello!" This was an excellent video. Good work! 8:26 - Oh ha ha ha, I just imagined Kylo Ren doing like with a Heinz (TMpleasedontsueme) Ketchup bottle to his lightsaber... That mental image is going to keep me going through the rest of the night. 25:25 - I usually use the lever from a dull pair of nail clippers to pry out my batteries. It's a decently strong but thin item that you can get some reasonable leverage with.

+Jeremy Dinsmore Thanks! When I saw the weathering in the Visual Dictionary reference photo, it was pretty noticeable to me that there was damage on the pommel. To me that isn't something that would happen through the course of normal swordplay, so it seemed like a likely cause was Kylo hitting it. ;) And...personally I wouldn't stick anything sharp or that could potentially pierce the Li-ion battery wall in there (or mess up those wires I mentioned). I thought twice about that after doing so.

Awesome video!!! What length did you cut the crossguards to? On the Ultrasabers website the only options are 6" and 8" but it seems yours are slightly shorter, and they look way better in my opinion!
