This is the song that made me realized I had to live my life for me several years ago. I used to live my life based on others' opinions, I even sacrificed my own happiness for them. Until one day, when I was alone in my room during my depression, far from anyone who knew me, I listened to this song multiple times until I lost count. This song spoke for what my true heart was longing for years. At that very moment, I swore to God, I promised to myself, to put myself first, to choose things for me, to never sacrifice myself again for other people, to take any step that would never make me regret my life. And now after almost a decade, I look back at that fateful day, I'm not the same woman as I used to be. Never again I knelt before others' words before put a good fight for my own voice and life. Thank you so much for this song, Chairman of The Board ❤

This track marked the last journey of the great romantic and fighter for our freedom - Alexei Navalny. This is Alexei Navalny's favorite song. Rest in peace, beautiful Man.... My heart is torn from pain and powerlessness that we could not snatch our hope for peace, happiness and freedom from the clutches of the monster. Forgive us, Alexei Navalny

Царствие Небесное Алексию Навальному. Господи, прими его по великому милосердию Твоему . Он Христов. Отважный светлый, честный. Спаси Его, Господи.

Interesting fact: Although this song is one of Frank Sinatra's signature songs, he hated it because he thought it was too self-serving and self-indulgent.

His voice is perfect. His songs are perfect. There are no great singers like him now.

And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
    I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
    I did it my way

    Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
    I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
    I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all, and I stood tall
    And did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
    And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, oh, no, not me
    I did it my way

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
    And did it my way

    Yes, it was my way

In the end this song relates to almost everyone. Perhaps the most profound song ever written...
  • This was my husband and my song at our 50th wedding anniversary, only we switched it to “ We did it our way “ , whenever he would say my way we put in our way , loved it ❤️👵🏼❤️
