Ayreon - Fate Of Man (01011001 - Live Beneath The Waves)

Published 2024-05-17
And here's the final preview video from the last Ayreon 'Live beneath The Waves' DVD/BluRay: Fate of Man. Maybe it's weird to not pick a song from the 01011001 album, but this song really stood out for me... such energy on stage! The band is just amazing as we all know, I'll never know how they manage to play this complicated song with such unflappable ease. And what about these breath-taking vocals from Brittney Slayes? She's unbelievable, right? Let me know if you agree... thanks and enjoy!

Hugs from Holland,
Arjen.

"How many Music Geniusses will you bring on stage?" Ayreon: "Yes".

Brittney SLAYED! Also Marcela and Irene were brilliant the whole show. Cannot wait to receive my blu-ray and relive the best concert of my life!

I absolutely love that you pulled Brittney in! Love this song.

Bringing Brittney into this collaboration was a master stroke, she’s just so suited to this composition, absolutely stunning!

I don't think we appreciated Timo enough with most comments after the shows or now focusing on the singers and this video definitely spotlights his incredible talent. That guitar solo was pure 🔥🔥
  • Marcel told us after the last show that she went in without rehearsal cause of jetlag and that the other singers only shared one general… all and all it was the best of the best shows I’ve ever been to. The whole weekend was magical! Thanx to everyone! ❤
  • @NZWozza
Everyone absolutely slayed playing this live. What a track!

MVP for this show Arjen. She was amazing, up there with Floor. I knew she had a soprano voice, but only heard it once before. Love it.
  • @jtekholm
Amazing, just amazing! And Ed Warby being the clockwork machine behind it all, just nailing it as usual.

Not that everyone wasn't fantastic over the course of the 7 shows but I think Brittney stole some hearts everytime she appeared on stage. BTW Ed is an insane drummer. Love the guy so much.

All the singers (especially the backing singers) are awesome, as are the instrumentalists. Brittney is just amazing in this one, it's perfect for her. You definitely have the skill of being able to write for your artists' strengths so they can show their best.

In the Facebook Ayreon Fan Group a few years ago there was a poll who you would like to see in a next project. I suggested Brittney Slayes with the remark that not only is she an incredible voice she also would would fit in as the nice person she is. And I included a link to an amateur Karaoke video of Brittney performing Queen of the Reich. I still like to think Arjen saw that post and that started this all 😄 I promised my stepson (who I introduced to Ayreon and now is a huge fan) that we would go to the next Ayreon concert if I could get tickets. I was lucky enough to get my hands on two VIP tickets and I can honestly say,... This was the best concert I have ever attended. And Brittney slaying Floor's parts and Fate of Man was the icing on the cake. What an incedible singer she is. What a blast we had that night. Just received the blue Ray's to relive it all again. 🤘

I’m not crying, there’s something in my eye. 🥲

God she hits those high notes with so much power! Truly one of the GOATs
  • @MetalPersonJ
This is the best song I've ever heard Brittney sing on.
