    Thank you for this exceptional documentary. My mum is from Rurutu and she has told me many stories about her island. In Polynesia, it is believed that all living creatures such as these amazing humpback whales are there in the form of our ancestors. What you have here is more than just animals in the ocean it is a part of Mana, Wairua, Tangata te Whenua and Culture.

    why can't they use underwater listening devices to listen for the sounds a whale may be making to find whales? I know that other whale researchers use this method.

    i believe cetaceans can change people down to their core being; IF approached with reverence and within expert ethical guidelines
