DigitalJournal_010: Sydney Accommodation

Hello! Here's the ~ r e a l i t y ~ of Queen Mary Building, Sydney.

Before going to the University of Sydney on my year abroad, I tried to find videos about what it would be like to live in my student accommodation (Queen Mary Building, Sydney). I couldn't find much, so I decided to make one myself. I hope you find this informative, entertaining, and hopefully not too disgusting... someone really did pee in my kitchen.

Great video, super informative for a person nervous about moving in in a couple months - thank you:) i've heard the wifi isn't too great, is it really that bad and limited?
  • I wanna ask if we could bring in kettles in our room(as I’m moving into usyd accom next month), as it may activate the smoke alarm, so yeah

Hey rlly helpful vid! youre studying nat sci right? So you can study abroad with this degree? Is it really competitive?
  • Is the accommodation strict on non-residents staying over? Do they have to sign in prior to arrival? Great video and the downstairs area looks very cool, hadn't seen pictures of this elsewhere!

Christ, i'm worried about the storage space, I bulk cook most of the time. It doesn't look like theres much space to store ingredients or meals. Also were things like bedding provided? Pots? Pans? Plates and utensils?
  • Hi this may be a stupid question but is there curfew in the building? Like when you arrive late at night or morning? Thank you :)

Hey! Do you know if there's any possibility to stay in a different halls for my 2nd term studying abroad (January-May)? It sounds amazing for the social life but it's really expensive and don't know if I could potentially save money that way!
