This is a yummy recipe for strawberry freezer jam!

2 pints strawberries
4 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1 package Sure Jell pectin, original

De-stem strawberries, cut in half and put in food processor. Pulse a few times to dice the strawberries, leave some texture, don't do a puree.

Put 2 even cups of strawberries in a medium bowl. Add 4 cups of sugar, 1 cup of sugar at a time, stir well and then stir occasionally for 10 minutes for each cup.

When sugar is dissolved after last cup of sugar, empty Sure-Jell pectin into saucepan and add 3/4 cup of water. On high heat bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Turn off burner and add pectin mix to the strawberries. Stir for a few minutes until well combined.

You're done! All you have to do is put in a container you can seal, glass jars or plastic. Let sit on counter for 24 hours. Put in fridge or freezer. This will last in a sealed container for a week in a fridge. This will last up to a year in the freezer.

I make blueberry and blackberry mixed. It is very good, however, mine never fully sets. It is always runny. I put mine in 8 oz jars, we do not eat it very fast but I follow instructions to the letter according to Sure Jell instructions and like I said, its always runny. You did it different, I will most def do it exactly as you did it in this video. You made it look quite simple and it was nice and not runny. Thank you,

Sounds like I hear the sugar when you are dipping . Play the whole song, goes good with the vedio . 😁 My daughter made this last night, she loved it. I haven't made this in years .

Does this means there is no boiling of straw berry and sugar mixturre???? And the pectin is added to the cold sugar+ pulp and made into jam...

I just finished making this. I am a little worried because it was still kinda saucy when I poured it in the jars. Will it thicken anymore as it sits in the jar? Or did I mess it up?

I think my mistake was trying to cook the SureJell and water in the microwave. Mine is runny. But still delicious.
  • Hello. Making this right now but I have four cups of cut strawberries so how many containers n size of containers will your recipe yeild?

For one person,I'd put it in smaller jars, cause I wouldn't eat it that fast .👍
  • The instructions do not say to wait between cups of sugar it says put the sugar in and wait 10 minutes I think they meant all of it did you read somewhere where they said between cups? Please point me in the right direction I don't want to waste all my strawberries haha thank you for the video
