The woman also wears it because if in case they die, they are covered.

One thing it definitely symbolises is the modesty of women, they don’t want to be seen without their hijab even after they die.

I live in Turkiye and when the earthquakes were happening I always slept fully covered and of course when am awake too just in case.. as a Muslim woman am proud of how we prioritize to cover our awrah in any situation Alhamdulillah. May Allah help our brothers and sisters in gaza 🤲🏽

Modest women trying to keep their dignity and modesty even in death. This is true bravery
  • I did see a video where a gazan woman was saying she wears it round the clock now becuase she might end up getting crushed under the rubble, dead or alive but stuck n ppl wud dig n find her without her properly covered.

The clothes they are currently seen wearing are for namaz (prayer). They are probably praying Janaza (namaz/prayer for their dead loved ones), because every second someone they love dies. They are in constant mourning. 💔
  • A Palestinian woman once quoted “ we wear this even when we are sleeping , so if we ever get bombed on or die unexpectedly my whole body will be covered.” … that’s the bravery of a Muslim woman.

I never would have known this without someone pointing it out and explaining it to me, so thank you.

I saw a video where a woman was saying that even we sleep wearing hijab, because if we die we will be completely covered.

They just don't have the choice after being displaced so many times. It's not like they have wardrobes to go into to pull out another garment.

I hate that they are having to go through this nightmare

It is not just for prayers, it's the obligatory way of dressing for woman in Islam.
