Join me in the hatching of these stunning emerald emu eggs.
At a petting zoo's female Emu had 3 eggs but their male Emu didn't start incubating on the nest (yes, with Emu's, the male does the incubating and the raising of the chicks). So they reached out to me and asked if I wanted to give these eggs a chance. By now they were quite old so I wasn't sure if they would hatch.

First two eggs: extroverts. Last egg: introvert. They are so adorable.
  • Okay, but the eggs reacting to the whistling is just too cute. And I think all of us felt the joy and relief when the 3rd egg cracked in your hand! Bless you for what you do; you're a delight good sir

I'm the father of a 4 month old girl. The last few months have been so difficult because I was essentially a single dad. I've been sad and unhappy for a while and this video just made me cry tears of joy. Thank you. I'll hug my daughter extra tight tonight.

When I think the human race totally sucks someone like you comes along and makes me think that we aren't all bad. Truly wonderful and heart warming to see the care and love given to these babies.
  • All I can add is a teary eyed WOW! And I am a crabby 76 year old man. I am so glad that YouTube decided I should see this.

There is something attractive in a person's face when they are being kind and caring for an animal.

Why does a chick hatching and calling out make me smile so much. I wasn't expecting that.

The babies are precious but there is another treasure here to be appreciated as well. To see a man be gentle and kind with babies or children, human or animal is a wonderful sight. Thank you for the kindness you showed and shared with us.

I was in tears when she broke through. Some of us just need a little extra care and encouragement. ❤ Hearing them talk back to you, and to their siblings was beautiful. Thank you.
  • This man is a treasure. I have watched for years as he has hatched eggs, doctored sweet birds ...his heart is huge. It is a privilege to watch his work.
  • When my now-adult daughter was in Preschool, her class incubated and successfully hatched chicks. She & I were blessed to receive permission to document the entire process, and it was the most rewarding & awesome experience!! You are an angel for working so hard to keep the one chick alive and growing! Job well done!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I was mesmerised from start to finish and in happy tears by the end. We have been given such a beautiful place to live 🙏🏻 and only we spoil it.

I am alot older than you, but you remind me of my dad when I was young and he would be up all night taking care of hatchlings or eggs in homemade incubators without scientific knowledge but only instinct and try to save baby birds. ....and then have to reluctantly go to his job during the day but come home for lunch to check them and give his kids simple chores regarding their care. What a wonderful way to grow up. He was still saving rescued wild animals in his late years. Thanks for the memories
  • My mother and I needed to see a human being doing something positive today. You may have saved our sanity, thank you so much.

You know he has a special place in his heart for the 3rd one, just look at the way he looks at her 🥹

So impressed by the care and attention you gave your little eggs. And you were rewarded with such beautiful chicks. Excellent!

I have an emu who we found alone and abandoned in the Arizona desert over twenty years ago. She has a good home and will live out her days in peace. She stopped producing eggs many years ago. They were the most beautiful green eggs. So lovely to see what our Ribbon would've looked like right out of the egg! Beautiful work you are doing in your sanctuary.

Did anybody else cry? This video was spot on perfect! Like watching a movie, the thrill, the emotion was all there. Aside from that, that was one of the sweetest videos I have EVER seen! Great job! Can't wait to see more! Can't wait to see them growing up!
