Call the van JAE (pronounced JAY) and of course stands for Jordan And Emily 😊. Or call it Adelaide!
  • GO FOR IT. DON’T LOOK BACK. Drones can be replaced. Life’s short. Live your dreams. Love you guys.
  • @6legna6krad6
Wow guys, your first sponsor!!! So happy for you 🙂 Your hard work to get this channel off the ground is finally paying off 👍 Cool van 🚐 Looking forward to your videos travelling across lovely Australia 🇦🇺
  • @SammyandTommy
Awww you guys!! So exciting, congrats and can't wait to see more Australia content! Also, sorry to hear about your drone , that's always a tough one 😭
  • @cynnie60
Watch ventilation for the fridge wherever you put it. Remember to keep weight balanced. Max and Occy, jack and megan are great YouTubes to watch that have successfully done lots of travels around Australia. Good luck.

Pumped for van life Australia vlogs! 🇦🇺 They're my favourite type of travel videos to watch 👍🏼
  • @grandpasmountain
Nice video, guys. Regarding the A/C --- I am a mechanic and owned the same van for 100,000 miles and did a number repairs and upgrades. #1 reason the air conditioning doesn't work is the circuit board that sits directly behind the heat/ac controls. It tends to get a micro-crack in one of the solder joints. I found and fixed mine --- but there are replacements available on eBay and it's not hard to do. Might want to look into it. Best of luck!
  • Congrats on your first sponsor! I’m so happy for you guys. You absolutely deserve it!! Sorry about the drone, as someone who has broken way too much camera equipment on her travels, I can absolutely relate. It’s not a great feeling, but maybe it’s the universe’s way of saying it’s time for an upgrade. As for the van, definitely get yourself a bug screen and window covers would be helpful as well. Flying the Nest did a van build and a loop around Australia so they are great to look to for inspo. As well as Edmond and Bec, they’ve done two van builds. I’ve seen lots of builds where they do a galley style kitchen and the counter covers a bit of the door. Then they have a table that folds out to the outside of the van for more counter space and also the option to cook/prep outside. I think that would work well with your van since you have two doors. I’m really excited to see what build you come up with and your new Aussie adventures!

Hey Jordan and Emily, Sad to see your drone stuck in the tree, may it rest in peace 🪦 Diving into van life with a vehicle that has as much personality as it needs repairs is the kind of adventure we all dream of. It's like a real-life 'Pimp My Ride,' but with more camping and less Xzibit. Every new repair and update you make is like an episode I can't miss. Hurry up!!! and remove the surfboard, in the event of an accident (God forbid) the board will cut off someone's head of. My suggestion for the name of your van must be "Van Morris" Keep up the great work – your channel is the highlight of my week! Nice weekends to both of you and to all of the "Jordan & Emily community" 👋 Best regards Peter +Buddy and Tykmissen

Don't worry about a proper toilet or shower area, its too small. Use public restrooms instead, add an outside shower if you can't get gym memberships.
  • @benpuss
Very exciting…. Sending good vibes your way. I’d suggest checking out Ruth Aisling here on YouTube. She purchased a used camper van in Scotland, named it Ernie, and shows several upgrades and how-tos on her channel. Will be excited to see how things develop!
  • @MichaelsMusicMix
If youy follow Vanwives, they did a fit out of a Mercedes Sprinter roughly your vintage a few years ago. Theres a pile of videos on their channel on how they did it. Its well worth a watch if you don't already Congrats on the purchase!! Will be following along of course!
  • @AHC4675
Congrats guys. What a steep learning curve in front of you. There’s so many van conversions on utube to get ideas from. My suggestion is always consider your van max weights and what you use to fabricate the inside with. Also balance the weight of everything you put in it. Have a look at older clips of Thomas Heaton and Max and Occy on tube for their van conversion two different ways at achieving what they wanted. Good luck we will be watching in anticipation. 👍

If the dog comes with the van, then you got an awesome deal! :) Kara and Nate (YouTube channel) did a van life segment during the pandemic and showed the work they had to do, changes, costs, and suggestions for "renovating" a van. Might want to check out their channel if you dont know about it. Also, as far as a name goes, you can't go wrong with "Vanny Mc Vanlife" ;) Also, might want to look into solar panels for the roof to charge the battery and provide power without having to have the engine running
  • @lukefitt9842
Cant wait to steal the van for some trips when u go back over seas :P
  • @leatolofua6216
Awww you had a rough morning 💕 we have been full time vanlifing in Europe for a year and are heading back to Perth in a month and I understand the time it takes to get used to the van and the lifestyle. Even after a year we still have many ‘learning moments’ knowing we’re always only one step away from having to fix another problem 😂 however the freedom to just go your own way is unparalleled. Batteries are harder to understand than algebra! We invested in a lithium and it was hands down the best investment we made in our van. PS we also had an air con issue. Turns out ours was the compressor and is an expensive job - hope yours is a cheaper fix x
  • @Photosandfood
Congrats on the first sponsor! You said you’re looking for recommendations. For the van name… “Adventure”. And for your coffee machine (because everyone needs one)… the Breville Bambino. Small, price conscious and it works great. I’ve had a bunch of Breville machines and they’re all great. Take care.
  • Welcome to the T1n community! These vans are great, but can be a little fiddly. There are some kits and things you can do to ensure she keeps running as well as some strange things like neutral lockout that are good to know about. There are some great groups online that can help! Enjoy!!
