Just want to give a shout out to the worker. What a gentleman. Professional, calm, and obviously sympathetic.

Why would someone record this, then put it on YouTube?!?!?

I'm so sorry for your loss. When my wife passed we were not present at her cremation. It would have made it much harder for all of us. We had already said our good-byes.

My heart broke when someone said bye daddy 😭 I lost my dad in 2021 and my mother six months before him. Losing parents is so tough.

I AM A FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND CEMETERY MANAGER. Cremation is one of the services we offer. Regarding videoing or taking pictures, we don't have any rules against it. Grieving friends and family can do so if they wish, but most don't. Quite often, they wish to add small momentos of the person to be cremated. Our only restrictions on such items is that they not have any batteries, metals, toxins, or anything we feel may become hazardous when subjected to the heat. One guest I remember was a child who wanted to give her uncle (the deceased) a small bag of Lucky Charms cereal because before he died, he often would buy a box for her when she and her parents visited him, and he would eat a bowl with her for breakfast. Cereal is benign, so of course I permitted her to place the bag on top of the cremation box.

Humans are naturally curious. I don't find this disturbing or troublesome. People have different ways that they grieve/process the loss of a loved one. This vid may come across as informative to some. Maybe its because I'm in the medical field that it's not as bothersome to me.

Ashes to ashes. No matter if you're buried or cremated, you're gonna return to dust either way, you just get there quicker when cremated is all.

My father has told me and my younger sister that he wishes to be cremated once he has passed away. I watched this only because unfortunately this reality is something that I must prepare for to "respect his final wishes". He is a man that "prefers" to save money and doesn't want for me and my sister (his only children) to become broke spending money on a "viewing body" type of funeral for his remains. Thank you for me getting to witness what usually comes for a person's remains should they choose to "put another log on the fire" (my Dad's wording for after he does pass away). 😢

My dad was cremated 2 weeks ago in NY they said no videoing no cameras I respect that and was thankful for the privacy we were given. The loss of a loved one takes a horrible toll on the grieving family.

sorry for the loss. ashes to ashes dust to dust! The deceased are not there. it left the body into the spirit realm.
  • Nobody’s talking about the man whose job it is to put a body into the crematorium… it’s honestly weird.. like a crazy thing for all the things we do in our lives, impact to others, to all meet the same fate, death, to be laid to rest and simply become an unconscious being- unaware of time or anything going on around us. It’s comforting to know people who work in the funeral homes take great respect to the dead and to have a careful hand in the way everyone is treated, post-Mortem. Takes a special human.

😢 this was very heartbreaking to watch. I can still remember when my mother passed away in 2007. We weren’t able to be present at her cremation but the ceremony was truly heartbreaking enough losing a loved one is devastating. I’m truly sorry for your loss.🙏🏼

There is never any goodbyes. It’s just the body you guys. We are just energy!!! Being expressed through a physical body. How freeing is knowing that?!

My dad just passed away and he wanted to be cremated. 2 days from now to honor his wish I will be there to witness the entire process... all the way to the end. I know it will be hard, but I'm aware that it's just a body. His spirit has transitioned on. My dad is now resting in peace. Thank you so much for posting this. I appreciate it. It helps me understand and prepare for what to expect. Peace and love 🙏

Put your damn phones away. What has happened to our society. Every second of your life does not need to be recorded. The crematory our funeral home uses does not allow any recording out of respect for the deceased.
