water jet propulsion has been around for years, just used in larger craft. high speed ferries, military speedboats. have a very low draft

Yeah those jet drives I used to install we sold a ton of them
  • Like you said Tom no propeller. The force of the water coming out simply pushes the boat along. Of course the water also cools the motor.
  • They’ve been around since the 80s as far as I know. Very common up in the northwest idaho and montana.
  • Hi Tom and Daisey. I was just thinking the same thing. I'd like hear this motor start up and run.
  • WOW. That's a quiet motor Tom. I know it's av4 stroke but I wonder if there is some kind of muffler system. Thanks Tom and Daisey

Very common. Been around for years. Great for shallow water fishing. I live by California delta. Lots of these motors. Notice the motor was not much lower then the bottom of the boat.

The 4 strokes popularity is fairly new ... I’m working on my 140 2 stroke with a prop myself ... the jets have there pros and cons ... one Immediate con is they are not as fuel efficient as a prop ...
