As a homeschool mom I think people make a lot of assumptions. They see the picture you post and either judge you or assume that you have it all together. A few weeks ago I asked on in my Instagram stories what your greatest assumptions about me were... you answered.

I had so much fun reading through your assumptions and answering them in this video. I hope that it is a fun way to get to know me more, but also see that

A) There is more than meets the eye
B) I am far from perfect

What do you think people assume about homeschooling? Post it below!

You are inspiring, Rebecca...how real you keep it always makes me feel like I’m doing okay in my homeschooling journey ❤️ You don’t pretend you always have it all together, but you’re obviously doing amazing at it!

Hi there, I haven''t started the video but I just wanted to tell you that you have helped me in my homeschool journey significantly! I have gleaned so much wisdom from you as I am "getting serious" now with my 7 year old and 5 year old. I know you are blessing to other mamas too...I just wanted to encourage you to keep it up, because your wisdom is valued.

This was my favorite video you have done so far Rebecca! Thank you for being so real. I have been encouraged by you many times, but especially by this Q and A. It felt like getting to know a new friend over coffee. Love and blessings from Alaska!

It would be super helpful if you could do a video, even a short one, about how your 2018-2019 curriculum plans played out over the school year. I love that video but it felt like a “here’s what we’re planning to do” and I’d love to see the post-game coverage on that. 😅🥰☺️
  • Thank you for your honesty! Makes me feel so much better on ALL levels. Spirit Led Homeschool all the way ;)

You are hilarious! Thank you for the inspiration and for a few laughs along the way! We sound very similar in many ways.
  • I just love the realism you bring to the table for all of us. It makes me feel like that we are on the this journey together with you as a sort of veteran homeschooler ( veteran in that you have had time as homeschooled and as a homeschooler who is still learning new things). It helps so much to be reminded that it's not in perfection that we are able to move forward, but the ability to work through the imperfections. I have been homeschooling my daughter from preschool, but the feeling of pressure didn't come until first grade. We are also homschooling year round! I found that having dedicated vacation weeks during the year mess us up and end up working harder to get back into the swing of things. We have family visit every 3 months, the sick days, and mental breaks I feel are best for using aka vacation days. It also makes things less stressful for when and the length of time to focus on a subject. You are not alone! I actually say non-denominational, because I do not want to be associated under a doctrinal umbrella when, I also agree, my walk is a relationship with Christ not a religious mandate that obliges me to the chains of law to be right with Him. Thank you, for posting this video! I know that it was overdue in the making, but the encouragement through it is real! Hugs from State side!
