our 16 year old dog, Champ, unexpectedly passed away two nights ago. The Lord gave Champ to my son when he was 10 yrs old. I have never been an animal person and didn’t want any pets. One day, my son asked me if he could have a dog and i told him no. He then asked me if he prayed for one, could he keep it. I agreed only to pacify him. The next day, my husband text me a picture of the cutest puppy in the back of his suburban. He told me that someone had let a litter of puppies out of their car, near a house he was building . Champ nuzzled up to my husband, and he couldn’t resist bringing him home. At first , i told him not to bring it home, then i looked over at my son, who was sitting at our kitchen table, and i realized this was the dog that he had prayed for. Champ was my son’s best friend for 16 yrs. I believe Champ stayed with my son, until he was ready to leave home. My son is now 25 yrs old, and in his last yr of college. He plans to marry his girlfriend of 4 yrs after graduating. We are grieving the loss of Champ, but i know he is in Heaven. I told my son that the Lord’s gifts and callings are without repentance. Champ will be awaiting my son’s arrival one day.
  • Don't know if this helps but when my dad was dying, he suddenly got so excited and was trying to lift his head up and pointed to the end of the bed, beaming from ear to ear look its Erin look look, she was a dog he had when he was little, which we didn't know about, he said she was running to him across the field, then he got even more excited and said look its mam and dad with him... Can you see them, can you see them, we pretended we could, he lay back down smiled closed his eyes and died peacefully, he wasn't on any meds, but yes I truly believe all animals go to heaven

I had a Maine Coon cat named Sydney who passed away 7 years ago. When I was laying in bed, it felt like a cat jumped up on and walked across my bed. I thought it was one of the stray cats that I befriended after Sydney passed away. But when I looked there was nothing there. This occurred several times. I think this was Sydney's spirit, and he stayed with me for a while before crossing over.

I hope the following will give you and anyone else grieving the loss of a beloved pet, peace. I had to put my 18 yr-old dog, Wally, to sleep because he was suffering. He was completely blind, deaf, and had lost his sense of smell. He also had severe arthritis and painful seizures. I was crying my eyes out as I had my arms wrapped around him as he lay on the metal exam table in the Vet clinic. It was my Dad's old Vet clinic. I wanted to grab Wally and run from the clinic, but I knew I couldn't let him continue to suffer just so I wouldn't, so I stayed. The moment the Vet gave Wally the shot that stopped his heart, I both saw and felt him get up, walk through my arms, and sit next to me on the table. It tingled where he walked thru me, and he appeared hazy, grayish and pixelated - like I was watching an old black and white TV. He also looked like he did when he was around two years old & healthy. 😊😊I immediately stopped crying, and I either told my Mom and the Vet what I witnessed, or I asked them if they saw it too; I can't remember which. However, based on their reactions, which consisted of them shooting each other quick, concerned glances that said, "OMG! She's gone insane from grief!" I could tell that they didn't. But I don't care because I know what I saw, and felt. I also felt him sitting on my lap the entire ride home, and once there, he just slowly faded from our realm into the next. I thank God for giving me such a loving and incredible gift. I feel it is now my duty to pass it forward to anyone and everyone who is grieving the loss of a pet to let them know that animals have souls that survive death just like humans do. I used to believe that animals had souls, but now I KNOW they do.
  • Wow, it is a amazing emotion that's hard to understand here in the flesh. A few months ago I dreamt I was in this field with nothing in sight as far i could see, then out of nowhere I turned and my beloved 2 dogs were running towards me and i just fell to the ground and started crying with a joy I've never felt as they jumped on me licking me all over. All I could do was cry and holding them and saying how much I've missed them so so much. I had them both for 15yrs. I woke up crying more like sobbing. It was a indescribable feeling. I think the LORD was letting me know that they are waiting for me. I still cry when I think of that moment... They have a little soul too.. Can't wait to be REUNITED again with them for ALL TIME🐾🐾🐾🐾

Thank you so much. After my divorce and my daughter move out it was me an Leo. He died of tick disease one month later. I was in a very dark place alone and.in such pain. After 9 months I was finally able to adopt Blue at 10 months old. After 2 years I took on my daughter's dog Marley. I have a house full of love. But I was uncertain if I would see them on heaven. I'm 63 and live alone so they are my everything. What a peaceful feeling I have now knowing they will be with me again.
  • My older dog died at home one evening. She'd been in declining health for a while, and I knew 'The Decision' was coming soon. God made the decision for me, that evening. As I sat with her, she went in and out of consciousness for about a couple of hours. Less than 5 minutes, before she passed, she started to bark very excitedly, and was wagging her tail, as she lay there. To this day I am convinced her brother, who I'd also had for years - from the same litter, who had been euthanized about 15 months before, from cancer - had come back to get her ! It gave me a great deal of comfort believing they'd be united again. Of course our dogs go to heaven - NO doubt in my mind. :)

Gods love for us is incomprehensible there are so many aspects of it. Our pets love for us is just one of an infinite love.
