3 American tourists died in a Mexico City Airbnb. The three Americans had traveled to Mexico to take part in the dia de los Muertos activities. They did not suspect that their travel would result in their death. In this video, we talk about how safe traveling to Mexico is and the misleading headlines that make this story dangerous and tragic but not in the way you may think.

Before my 1st trip abroad alone, I was told to do as much as possible to NOT look like a tourist: 1) Don't walk around in public looking around excitedly making it obvious you are seeing things for the 1st time. 2) NEVER stand at an intersection or in a crowd and unfold a paper map (phones have made this partly obsolete). 3) Wear clothing similar to locals. No bright colors, no tourist hats, no US flags, no jewelry. 4) Don't get drunk when alone. I've never has an 'incident' after all of these years, in fact I'm probably too good at this because people frequently ask me for decorations or recommendations!
