지리산 피아골 가는 길/The way to Jirisan Piagol
2년 만에 다시 지리산 피아골을 찾았습니다.
계곡물조차 붉게 물든 풍경은 눈을 감고 있어도 쉽게 잊을 수가 없었습니다.
별빛이 총총한 노고단 정상에 올라 절반쯤 기울어진 늦은 아침햇살을 만나고,
가을이 저만치 흘러 내려간 산자락을 따라, 피아골로 발걸음을 옮깁니다.
불꽃처럼 타오른 단풍은 그 뜨거움을 감당하지 못해 일부는 메말라버렸지만, 고샅 같은 숲길은
여전히 붉고 강렬했습니다.
붉은 단풍이 양탄자처럼 깔린 길섶에 다리쉼을 할 때면, 바람은 어김없이 메마른 소리를 내며
단풍나무 숲을 스치고 지나갔습니다.
피아골대피소에서 늦은 점심을 먹고 다시 계곡으로 들어서는 길!
2년 전에 만났던 그 붉은 계곡은 올해도 어김없이 단풍잎보다 더 붉게 흔들리고 있었습니다.
다른 지리산 계곡에 비하면 깊지도 넓지도 않지만, 피아골의 단풍이 유난히 붉은 이유는
그 생김새가 그대로 '날것'이기 때문입니다.
물길도 제대로 지나가지 못할 커다란 바위들이 막힐 듯 서 있는 풍경!
그래서 가을은 그 자리에 멈춰버렸고 그대로 붉게 물들어버렸습니다.
이 속 깊은 산을 언제쯤 안다고 말할 수 있을까요?

I visited Jirisan Piagol again after 2 years.

I climbed to the top of Nogodan, where the starlight was shining, and met the half-tilted late morning sunlight. and Following the foot of the mountain where autumn has flowed down, I move my steps to Piagol.
The leaves that burned like flames could not handle the heat and some of them dried up, but the narrow and steep forest road It was still red and intense.
When I sit and rest on the roadside covered with red maple leaves like a carpet, the wind always makes a dry sound.
I passed through a maple forest.
After having a late lunch at Piagol Shelter, on the way back to the valley!
The red valley we met two years ago was swaying redder than maple leaves this year as well.
Compared to other Jirisan valleys, it is neither deep nor wide, but the reason why the autumn leaves of Piagol are exceptionally red is
It's because the appearance is 'raw' as it is.
A landscape where large rocks that can not even pass through the water are standing as if they are blocked!
So, autumn stopped on the spot and was dyed red as it was.
When will I be able to say that I know this deep mountain?

낯선 풍경에서 새로운 친구를 만나 같이 웃고 우는 시간이 되길 바랍니다.
