This is proof that in the 1960s, - everybody, from the writers, to the director, actors, crew, extras - were high as fuck.
-
''I shouldn't wish to attract attention'' -A dancing grown man dressed up in a bat suit in middle of a huge crowd
-
It's amazing that the Batman series went from this to the Dark Knight.
-
Batman walking in a club with everyone ignoring him, order an orange juice and then start dancing is just the zenith of the whole franchise. RIP Adam, you truly were the white knight in a world of dark knights
-
Ah, the old "keeping your reason by reciting the multiplication table backwards" trick.
-
Honestly, this is the only believable way you can portray a grown man who dresses up in a cape and bat ears.
-
I love how in relatively recent versions he’s supposed to be some anonymous ninja who is wanted by the police but in this he just goes to your local nightclub in his pajamas like "yep… That’s me, BATMAN" so proud and all and everyone’s like "gawd it’s batman ! It’s fudging batman you guys"
-
"Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?" "No, but I love doing the Batusi".
-
Ladies and gentlemen, the world's greatest detective.
-
The 1960s... when dancing well and dancing badly were indistinguishable.
-
It's no wonder this role got him typecast. He did it so perfectly
-
That jazzy version of the Batman Theme was pretty groovy. The horn section was totally boss.
-
I can only imagine Superman watching from a far distance laughing his ass off
-
I remember this episode...Batman made Robin stay in the car because he was underage. Robin was NOT happy.
-
"You interest me, strange lady" Batman sure did know how to sweet talk in the 60s
-
I am convinced this is the peak of human society.
-
"I don't want to attract attention" because clearly a grown ass man in a bat suit is the definition of discrete
-
"I wouldn't want to attract too much attention" starts dancing
-
“I shouldn’t wish to attract attention..I’ll just stand at the bar.” MY FAVORITE LINE😂. RIP Adam West, you were my favorite Batman by far.
