Ukrainian tank crews have completed training on Challenger 2 tanks in the UK and have returned home to continue their fight against Russia’s illegal and unprovoked invasion.

The training began shortly after the announcement in January that the UK would donate 14 Challenger 2 tanks and accompanying ammunition and spare parts to aid Ukraine. @britisharmy trainers spent several weeks training Ukrainian personnel how to operate and fight with the tanks. Instruction included how to command, drive and work together as a Challenger 2 tank crew and effectively identify and engage targets.

The Challenger 2 tank marks a step change in capability for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ensuring they are better able to protect their crews and offering them some of the most modern and sophisticated gunnery systems in the world.

In my Soviet school we've never learned about Battle for Britain, Winter war against Finland and German - Soviet invasion to Poland in 1939. And when Ive seen BBC Battle for Britain (thanks to Internet😊)I was really shoked and inspired by British People Spirit and Heroism! And after all these decades you're still on a right side! God bless you all✌️🇺🇦🇬🇧🙏

My English is bad, but I want to thank Britain and the British people for their help and support, not only in words but in deeds.
  • I am from Poland but have lived in Wales for almost 20 years, my children are UK citizens. Thank you for supporting Ukraine in the fight against the enemy of free people in Europe. Glory to the heroes !!! 🔱⚜🏵
  • We are very grateful to the UK for their help, we thank the Ministry of Defense, the instructors, and all the people of the UK. We will never forget your help. We will fight with honor in your tanks against the occupier.💙💛
  • I live close to the burnt out building featured at 20:20. Some people died in the explosion/fire. My district is on the outskirt of the city next to a forest, and behind the forest are Bucha/Irpin so there was loud artillery fire 24/7 for a month until russians were kicked out of Kyiv region. The day when they left and suddenly there was silence - was the first time in my life I saw my father crying. If it wasn't for Britons (who, time and time again, were the first ones to provide us support and weapons) the whole district would definitely have laid in ruins by now, not just that one building. I'm pretty sure these Challengers will fuck the russian armor up
  • Dear British friends, me and my family will never forget all help that you gave Ukraine in the time of desperate need. I can't express in words my feelings about UK and it's good people. We will do whatever it takes to make Ukraine a strong ally for the UK and the whole of free Europe.
  • Thank you Great Britain for having the guts to actually start arming the Ukrainian with proper tanks Ukraine fights for the free world it's a simple is that🇬🇧🇺🇦🇭🇲
  • I salute the citizens of the UK and Commonwealth. In 1940 you provided a spine to a wobbling world. You have done it again in 2022. Respect from a grateful Yank.

Yesterday I watched England-Ukraine football and caught myself thinking that we are playing with our brothers. England and all Ukraine is grateful to you for your help. (Odessa city)
  • I'm not your typical American; always had a romantic draw towards UK reserved demeanor, dry humor, and unconquered fighting drive. God bless you lads from next door to America's B2 bomber hive!
  • My Son is a Signaller on the south coast, and he's been telling us all about the breadth of experienced soldiers from all across the NATO family of armies who are coming to England to help train the Ukrainian soldiers. The whole initiative deserves much more recognition for the incredible teamwork on display, and the undoubted assistance being given to our new allies in Ukraine is something everyone involved should be very proud of. Bravo boys.
  • The UK does a fantastic contribution to supporting Ukraine. In fact, it´s epic. Thank you!

The guy talking about going back to being a civilian after the war brought a tear to my eyes. He’s had one near miss already. Pray to whatever gods you believe in that he and many others make it
  • As an ex British soldier I was proud to watch this film of the utter professionalism of our British forces. In fact reading the wonderful comments from the Ukrainian people I’ll be honest it made me feel so proud to be a Brit in helping the amazing Ukrainian people fight despicable enemy as the Russians. In fact it brought tears to my eyes. Ukrainians people are fighting and dying for democracy that we in the west take fore granted as a given!
